This is what I have done so far
I know macros little a bit so it may not very hard for me to catch some of them.
Still interesting though is this one of the struggles for the lost empire or they were just existed long time ago?

Haha, that reminds me of the good ol' days when I found a flaw in a widely used macro, resulting in lots and lots of dead ravens.

Those are positive results.
I think you just nailed down a fun game career there.
Keep up the good fight! It might be hard to go unnoticed in local.

Meh, and Ingunn is full of macro haulers to the point they make Jita's freighters look bad, Russians are freaking macro ratting in super caps as well.
CCP doesn't really care, forum mods will just lock the thread and say to petition it....which will of course get no where. Welcome to eve, free kills every where :)

Edited by: Othran on 11/11/2010 07:52:01 Yep, never actually seen anyone (out of dozens I've seen) in AAA Citizens who wasn't flying a Raven and didn't instawarp to safe/POS as soon as a frigate (me) appeared on dscan. Amazing stamina too, same people every time you go there, regardless of time
Everyone who's been down that way knows they're all macro ratting. Even the most clueless of CCP's employees must be able to work it out, yet nothing happens to the cheaters........

so the qucikest way to shut em down is to park an alt i neach system with a probe out and a few combat ships on standby nearby ready to pounce if u can get lucky. Denial of space new tactic to beat macros

Sansha will get the bots
Quote: Active incursions will bring a variety of disruptive changes that will greatly impact player activities; first off, celestial pirate NPCs you would normally encounter at star gates and asteroid belts will be replaced by new ones tied with the incursion, and they will demonstrate updated attributes and Sleeper-like AI. Note, however, that this will not affect CONCORD, or the empire navies, even if an incursion will suppress custom NPCs.
In addition, systems invaded by Sanshas will receive certain system wide effects that affect all players inside them:
+ Reduction of all shield/armor resistances
+ Reduction of turret, missile, drone and smartbomb damage
+ Jamming of cynosural fields throughout the system
+ Reduction of 50% on all NPC bounties

Edited by: Dmoney3788 on 12/11/2010 08:23:10 Confirming that there were a lot of macros in AAAC while I was in the allince before -A- failcascaded. Actually that name Alex spbs looks very familiar, as I recall he was in a system 23/7 along my jb route.
Based on personal experience with macro ratting bots, the best method I found to work is to logoffski in a belt, then log back in in like a minute. If the bot isn't in the belt you're in, continue to logoffski until you catch it in your belt. Basically I believe the ones I encounter work off of the assumption there's gonna be noone or all blues in local, and once that changes they warp to a POS/safespot and wait/cloak up until local becomes all blue again, then they warp to a random belt.

Just out of curiosity, how does it make you feel to spend all your time shooting an AI that just keeps coming back, and coming back, and coming back, and coming back, and coming back ...
The reality of it is that those losses are irrelevant in comparison to the profits (this should really be obvious), they are just the cost of doing business. Sorry to burst your bubble. |

When you kill a PVPer, you take away a pretend internet spaceship and maybe a little pride.
When you kill a AAA Citizens botter, you take away money that they were going to RMT to pay the rent on their flat next month. As far as griefing goes, that's pretty much top of the pile.

Really? So instead of making 27 billion per month they only make 26.95 billion x however many accounts they are running. Yup, seems like a lot of grief. |

when i was out in min space i joined up with a group who looked for macros, and they would spam convo them (dam that got expensive) to get it to break its routines, not perm but for a few hrs, there was a few times a pilot (im assuming a GM of some sort, but what do i know) came in took the names of the macros, and for the rest of the time i was there, bout a week, i never saw those macros again.
i was in a system quite a ways back and there were some "pirates" only because of their SS, and they were suiciding orca macros, heh a "pirate" fighting the good fight, go figure.
so some of these ways may not be the best way to do it, but there are "things" being done to combat it. hel after reading about AAA and seeing the kill board we should all pack up and go down there and hit em for a few months. hel we should just create an alliance as a collective just to dispers macros from time to time.
would make a good mass kill vid imho HAVE FUN, GOOD LUCK, FLY WELL, FLY SAFE! |
