Suprised not to see a laser fit (619 DPS with heat + drones). Can replace second web with cap booster if you downgrade to meta4- due to overheated reps, lasers and exile being cap hungry |

Leave that fail corp imo. Triple Rep Myrm is a beast and highly effective.

The only thing it is NOT good at is being a part of a huge blob, boo hoo. If you want to participate in that kind of thing just train amarr like everyone else.
Yeah, because you never see Drake fleets in 0.0. Oh hi, you're one of the Drake booster regular posters aren't you. Funny how the poeple playing up the Myrm here are the same ones crying please don't nerf the Drake.
OP, yes the Myrm was nerfed to piddly damage (damage which can itself be killed). But wow you can tripple rep it . . until your cap runs out, which won't take long. Or you can passive shield tank it to a Drake or better? Ok but can it do as much damage at as much range as the drake? No. That is why there are not Myrmidon fleets floating all over. |

Edited by: Kassa Daito on 13/11/2010 15:34:23 Myrm = flexible support ship. Drake = ubertank or passable DPS/tank combination or absolute crap DPS/tank/tackle package. Both have their uses in different environments. Neut+Ewar Myrms in particular are fairly good in small cheap gangs because a curse is just too squishy and expensive to fit in.
Drake is used in nullsec blobs because of the current lag. HML volley damage and range make them perfect for fighting in a high-lag environment where you get one module activation every 2 minutes and everyone is 50km from where your client thinks they are. The myrm still won't have a place in nullsec blobs but you'll see other BCs become useful again when the blob lag is reduced. ** Disclaimer: Author sometimes spell checks but is not responsible for sins of commission, omission, emission, transmission, or submission. OH HERP DI DERP, what do we have here? A drake whine!
Piddly damage, bawwwww. Like I said, it's not a fleet ship at all. It is; however one of the scariest roaming solo/duo/very small gang ships around and it's got 10x the felexibility of the drake for that purpose. Apples != Oranges.

Holy crap. That's impressive indeed. I'm currently training up as a Myrm pilot, having recently got some decent armour tanking skills - these 2 videos were very encouraging.

as to the tank, I had a fit for holding people in place, 93k EHP, I lost it unfortunatly, I was in a 4 man starter fleet for a roam and we got jumped by 10 full on pirates. I managed to tank them for about 2-3 minutes though.

If your job was tackle why the Cloak, you couldn't catch a cold with that scan res. A scripted Sebo would have gotten more results as a holding fit.
Post your full fit.

km of the myrm the cloak was because we were going to ambush somebody, but that never happened because I was the only one with a cloak fitted. kind of screwed myself by doing that but oh well.

I used to hate the myrm, but then if you're in, say, a hurricane and you get in a properly fit myrm's scram range, the cane will die. It doesn't do a whole lot of damage, but the tank can be pretty damn mean.

ya, the fit that I put up was put together for a couple carrier kills the night before. it was supposed to be taking out drones and putting in some of its own drone damage when it could but mostly it was for locking the 2 carriers down once we were there.

Myrm is one of the few boats it really works well on, mostly because you can live without the low slots.
Triple rep myrm is grrrreat bait.
