What kind of ships do Concord fly and how strong are they? Is there any way to get them?

Edited by: McDeth on 11/11/2010 16:28:40 Or a way to disable / capture ships? Doesn't have to be an easy way, but a possibility? Like his ship is disabled and the self destruct is malfunctioning. Theoretically it can be towed back to base and the pilot shot / beat up & ship commendeered.

1. Get a disposable ship 2. Attack someone in hisec you don't have killrights on 3. Question answered in the bluntest possible way. _________________________________

From what I recall, CONCORD ships were a joint effort between all four empires. So they fly a ship class entirely unique to them.

In the old days m00 came into hi sec and were ganking everyone. They had enough ships to hold off concord, and CCP GM's had to come in and stop them. Then they beefed up concord by alot...

There's some videos about that incident. Quite right that they held off Concord (and even blew some of them up iirc) but they did it by taking advantage of the remote repping systems of the day. At the time, unlike now, when you repped someone you didn't get aggression flagged. So they had a couple of DPS ships sitting there shooting with their tank supplied by other members of the corp who were in no danger at all.
Repping mechanics changed because of that incident as well. --------------------------------- Go Web! Go! |

Yes, because they have 100% effective ECM, so once you've done a criminal act and concord gets there you won't be able to lock.

The zombie camp succeeded because of fail RR aggro implementation (aka: remote repping a flagged criminal did not actually flag the remote repping pilot) __________________________________________________

Like most NPC ships, you can't get them.
Killing them, on the other hand, is easy ù just get yourself a Polaris ship.
Of course, getting a Polaris ship is kind of difficult, and getting the skill to fly it is even worse since it has itself as a prerequisiteà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

In theory, as would smartbombs and possibly drones if you locked Concord before they jammed you. However, this is in theory. The problem is...
A) Concord ships probably have very high resists and hp B) Concord lasers seem to ignore shields and tear through hull and armor C) Every crime you commit, including attacking concord, may spawn more concord. So after a few seconds, you'll have so many concord on you it won't matter.
So basically, given enough equipment you could probably pop concord in theory. In practice, it won't happen, and you probably run the risk of being banned.

they probably armor and shield tank, but its not like it matters. Even if you do happen to lock one (by some extreme miracle) you're already dead before you can push "F1" to fire anything at them. It is impossible to pod Chuck Norris. |

Edited by: Alara IonStorm on 12/11/2010 03:12:26 Concord Ships are not that strong but they deal dmg accross all types. The real worry is being scanned down and killed in the mission, most people use a Unscanable Tengu and an insta undock bookmark to get to the mission zone.
Now the missions where you face Concord are all located in NPC Null Sec, you should be able to find it on the map by setting it to Sov and selecting anyone of the four pirate factions. Their NPC space should light up. Go to there corp page to find the agent you want and it should give you the system. Use the Interdictor Nullifier and Cov Ops Systems to get down there.
Concord drops tags redeamable at the Pirate Faction LP store where there ships are purchased. Also note that your sec status will drop like a rock for attacking them. Thats pretty much all you need to know about killing Concord, cept not ever attacking them in Empire.

As many smart bombs as you can fit (I used like 5 EMP)
As many 1600mm plates you can afford/fit while still leaving PG and CPU for DCUII and resits mods.
Go to a gate - check out the orbit of one of thier frigs. get close, wait for him to hug you. press F1-F8. enjoy fireworks
Even thier frigs survive 2 kabooms from 4 smart bombs (I have no idea if they cancel each other out..)
Fun.... but unfortunatley I destroyed the frig wreck with a subsequent kerplode.

To get concord aggression in a Polaris ship is likely to crash the server according to a dev.

Yes. If you manage to kill a CONCORD ship, or even avoid being killed by a CONCORD ship that is trying to kill you, you're exploiting the game and CCP will find out, and CCP will punish you.
CONCORD is meant to be omega gank. Infinit gank. And infinite tank.

On Sisi, I saw a charon sitting outside a station with noone in it. So I attacked it with my Tengu. My cap was instantly drained, so i couldn't warp, and my hardeners were dead. My ship was gone in about 20-30 seconds. Keep in mind that that was just station guns, as there were no concord ships that moved in to intervene for some reason. this was in Motsu or a system right beside Motsu.
