I've been around for a long time and everytime you see somethign like this on sisi that isn't complete, they just cut it before release because it's not working right : ( I can tell the ability to undo and redo and have a whole history bar of your changes? Well I guess I should have put an emphasis on "young" You can make them really ugly too. What you see above is just selective lighting and a pose which results in "pretty boy" look. Aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder. My main is Gallente Intaki, and they usually always result to an elongated face which a bit off if I want project my own looks to a character. Of course, if you prefer, almost any character can be to look like a "backdoor bandit" if that's what you're after -------------------------------------------------

You can make them quite distinct. Looking at our current avatar pictures, we can clearly see that most of came from the same artificial bin they were cloned from. And while understandably some are very attached to their old character portraits I don't think many will bear exact resemblance and that's partly a good thing as our current avatars are more like caricatures than real flesh and blood. It's easy to make a convincing cartoon avatar and much harder to achieve a lifelike representation. -------------------------------------------------

The smallest change can make a big difference in the overall expression. And as the current creator is far from being final, I wouldn't give up just yet. Here's one of my favorite Brutor female render before I found the "extreme" textures res and antialiasing options of the current build, hoping to redo her again. Which is not as easy even when you have a clear reference that's made using the new creator. There are so many little things you can tweak even at this early stage. Brutor female

With the high cheekbones coupled with the chosen hair (unfortunate combination?) he looks a bit like the character from the "Planet of the Apes" and not the human kind He's quite mellow in the picture, perhaps because almost every other facial expression expressed sadness... A reasonably manly version of the "girly" bloodline of a Gallente male And lastly my favorite bloodline atm which happens to be what my main is i.e. Intaki male. With the first prototype I was only able to pull a long faced version, but with this second (third?) iteration of the prototype I'm able to sculpt him as I would have wanted to do with the original Eve launch version of the character creator. Another one from a different day of trying it out. Roll on with a new patch with visible females. -------------------------------------------------

Make walking in stations like Nethack (great game btw). You know, Incarna will bring lots more players for you to shoot at. And you know that you don't have to use the new feature. You can also you use the random character generator to create a lookalike monkeyface if you don't care about your appearance. And yes some developer attention has gone into Incarna which is not used for "other things". I happen to think it's the singlemost omission of MMO that is EVE, you are forced to live in a cocoon. And you're suppose to be this immortal demigod, and yet you're imprisoned in your pod. That does not sync with the fiction background of EVE. We're a not AI living in the ships computer. Why so peeved, it's an addittion. More variety is good. -------------------------------------------------
