C'mon this needs explaining. The longer the silence goes on the more it looks like a cover up.

Yes! It's a cover up! Now what are you going to do about it? What? I can't hear you ...., oh ..., nothing? Well then there's no reason to explain stuff to you since the reason for the DT has no impact on your further actions. Simple really. |

Nevermind what they fixed, but they managed to break stuff (yet again).
Since TQ came back on, all my ships have random modules offline that cannot be onlined (or charged, or stripped) either in station or in space. Clearing all cache files "randomizes" the offline mods again, with the same result.
Great job. |

Then CCP aiming to become more transparent with actions/discussion, just fades away into the distance.
I thought it was too good to last. Guess its back to been a mushroom.

Originally by: Xavier Ansatsusha OK CCP is deploying a "hotfix" and wont tell players what that fix is. Sounds like to me it has something to do with "fixing" a battle either in process or about to happen. I was online all week and I havent seen a single problem out of the ordinary with eve. So what battle are they "fixing" here?
u mad?

If you really think it's a cover-up, contact Internal Affairs. That's precisely why that department exists.
Otherwise, you're just belly-aching.

Its not a case of wether i think its a cover up or not. Its CCP yet again failing to do what they say, in this case - be more transparent.

looks like some kind of exploit fix if they're not willing to say what it is. they'll announce it in a few days probably after they're sure the hotfix actually killed the exploit.

Not that this is surprising, but it comes back to "What are you going to do about it?", since there is really only one thing you can do and you are not willing to do it all the discussion is moot. |

Edited by: Lirossa on 12/11/2010 19:38:11 Ok another "new" "old" session bug is back again:
Load your stuff into a jumpfreighter, check if its really there... see it is.
Jump to your destination Cyno just to find out your cargo is now empty. Ok... so thinking you can use your open cargo back at least.... fill you stuff into the cargo. Jump back, dock at a station, just to see... ok I now have 500k m¦ in my Rhea.
NICE ONE CCP.... real PROs working there
So I'd say... you failed at failing.

Poor little guys....
This is not an acceptable explaination, infact, more of a Troll post, perhaps you should be banned, since that post adds nothing to the discussion.
On a slightly more serious note, just tell us Exploit fixed.. tell us Market Borked (this expression I believe comes from SETI download information from Berkeley that sometimes did not have downloads available.. I used to run them, so I know.. Borked.. unavailable).
Outage, OK, reason? ... waiting....

They're not likely to tell us ever.
More than likely they'll be watching whoever was exploiting to see if it really did get fixed, if it was to patch an exploit to begin with.
I wouldn't divulge exploits unless they were already well known, don't need to give people a starting point to look for more exploits...especially EVE players...

to all you whiners that keep bothering CCP employers about doing thing right the first time and the game sucks and what not. try something different like offering suggestions to how to improve or if you are sooo good to programming games. maybe YOU should be a CCP employee.
give them a rest. they are working their ass off to try and get a game working to everones satifaction.
and you all got 30 minuts warning in advance.. could have warped off 2 minuts before the DT and log right back into the game 2 minuts after. stop making a bird to an elephant.
dosn¦t help anyone.

Fairly sure I got butt ****ed in the 'hotfix patch' that has wiped out all my colonies extracted minerals..
No point asking CCP to replace it as I am not in control of the database that holds the amounts per colony... that were maybe exploited...
It seems obvious to me that a bug/exploit has occurred.. and that innocents have been sentenced :(

So... You have a problem, and you are not even going to contact the only people who could possibly help you on the basis that you don't control the data? Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this?

They more likely implemented a hotfix during yestedays downtime, and messed something up there. So they tried to fix it in the evening, and messed it up even more.
-> failed.... at failing.

I assumed I had simply mislaid the 4,000 odd units of Precious Metals I was going to import to one of my PI planets. After searching every container, ship and hangar it could possibly be in I realise it may have just disappeared like other people have reported PI mats vanishing. Oh, well. Just have to hope if it was related that it is fixed now.

ItĘs simple, the downtime was just CCP Atlas getting his own back for being pawned when he jumped in to the big fight of 3242 ships in one system
