As someone who has been here some time you should know that we had these types of posts before the BB thing , before the ricdic thing , before the xabier thing etc etc.
This place never was worth a lot more then a couple of dimes and never will be , but **** that at least here you got a place to look cool when talking calculations.It's what crime and punishment is for the pirates and CAOD for the killboard****s.

Just because there aren't any shocking threads around doesn't mean that nothing interesting is happening in eve, if you are clever tho you have to keep your mouth shut for certain things.

"OMG I STOLE YOUR ISKS!" that does not actually represent MD as a whole, sure its BOUND to happen, but the fact that you only associate MD's vigor with "shocking" threads kinda sad isn't it? i mean alot of MD is there for pure altruism (for both parties really)
i'm sure i'm not the only one that feel that MD is more about venturing into unknown markets and being surprisingly successful as opposed to the next guy that happen to scam investors am I? sure every now and then those shocking threads are interesting to read but it feels like it belongs to C&P more so then MD

I feel the golden age of MD ended a few short months after I started playing EvE. That summer (2009, I think), with the fall of Ebank and Dbank spelled the exodus of many long term veterans and changed things for the worse. I think it has only gotten worse with time.

Contrary to some of the replies my original post wasn't nor intended to be a troll. The md forum is currently only a pale shadow of it's former self.
I just wondered whether the titan bpo scam was the final nail in it's coffin or whether it's ever likely to regain some or all of its' former glory.

I sort of have to agree with Lecherito. The MD forum has gone progressively downhill since the giant scandals of dbank and ebank. BB's scam didn't help but it had nowhere near the impact that the bank scandals did.
Part of the problem is a lot of the old voices have left so there's not a lot of folks that remember all the reasons we began to insist on audits etc. Thus more scams are happening now because people aren't taking basic precautions with their isk. I blame it partly on the fact that people are playing with "plex money" rather than isk they actually had to spend time to earn. When you didn't bust your ass earning it you don't care as much about it.
Pretty simple really.
