If money wrongfully goes missing from your account without authorisation that is theft, right?
No, it's a mistake. It happens all the time with utility companies, I'm sure you will experience this at some point. And CCP don't "ban" you, they reverse the subscription. In effect you didn't pay so you don't get access for free.
I have to totally 100% disagree with you with the fact that my utility companies have not once over charged me or double billed me.
To the above poster I would be angry also It's the same as I always say companies are hell fast to take money from you but are super slow in refunds. Todays world is an electronic world, bank transactions are instant.
CCP need a dedicated payments team [ like most companies ] who sort this issues out within 24 hours.

So what you are saying is I should just give up. Not make a big stink about it. Not let others know that there is issues with the billing department. Not say that they are taking entirely too long. It is called being persistent. I don't care if it was 1 dollar or 1000 dollars. I want my money back and will not stop till the error is corrected.
Originally by: Ranger 1 If this is the worst billing issue you've had to deal with in your brief adult life consider yourself lucky.
It is not the worst. Just because murder happens daily does not mean someone getting ****d is OK. It is still wrong.
Originally by: Ranger 1 What do you do for a public expression of outrage when your credit card company makes a billing error?
They don't.
Originally by: Ranger 1 Call the president?
No. I call the company that made the error.
Do you work in customer relations type department that has to deal with unhappy customers where the company you work for has done something wrong? And because they are not super duper ultra happy about it, you are wildly upset with them for calling and complaining? I think you are. And this post has been your chance to blow off some frustration that has built up at work. All those customers that keep calling, making you work. If that is the case, then I'm sorry, but it is your job. If you are unhappy with it, please find other employment.
If none of the above is the case and you are just a frustrated poster who saw a thread they didn't like go back to page 1 and now you have to see it again while you franticly rage press F5 for new threads to troll, well... then I apologize for my thread taking up some space on your screen. Once CCP corrects the error I can assure you this thread will die and you will have your entire screen full of post you would rather flame and add no useful content to it.
EDIT: For spelling and also to make the poster I replied to feel easier knowing I was not able to make a post without having to go back and edit, thus, making him more confident in replying knowing I am human.

Annoyed or irritated would be an appropriate response. I tend to reserve angry for important matters.
Regular billing information needs to be verified once and then continue normally (instantly) from that point, refunds need to be researched a bit. As an EVE player you should be familiar with the concept of verifying the facts before you shell out the money. This takes bit of time.
Sure, they could hire an outside company I suppose. I guess you won't mind if everyones sub fee gets raised a bit to cover that eh?
In the case of a billing error with other types of companies it can easily take several "working" days for it to be sorted, that type of work usually isn't done by weekend staff.
The point being, yelping on the forums like a scalded dog really isn't necessary, although it does make it easier to identify the youngsters that have limited real world experience.

Except, of course, that ranting on the forums does exactly nothing to rectify your problem. So in this case the squeaky wheel gets no grease, it's simply annoying.

I put a stop payment out on Friday.
CCP cleverly changed the billing date to get around it and I was billed, yet again, today.
So now I cancelled my credit card completely. My bank along with VISA are now starting to investigate the billing practices of CCP Games.
I guess those who said giving CCP your credit card details was a bad idea was correct.

That's something that has been bugging me since I started playing. One of the advantages of paying with a credit card is that you pay for a month instead of just 30 days, thus allowing you to avoid moving the payment one day back every time a month with 31 days pass. Still, CCP will occasionally deduct payment after 30 days.
I assume this is what happened to you.
