Edited by: Taser Monkey on 17/11/2010 12:46:38 Can I join in this pointless discussion of semantics?
At the end of the day players don't talk about TQ as nodes, we always say server. All supercomputers are clusters but we never talk about the Cray cluster of nodes, we talk about one super computer. Thus, all this discussion is pointless as it's a matter of how you look at it.
Anyway, children, nobody cares what you call it or how you see it, as long as the hamsters don't die when there're 2000 in system.
Edit: you see the snipe?

Also hamsters are allergic to cedar. Maybe this explains the lag. Someone check CCP's data center for cedar chips. --Vel

It is indeed clusters. If it wasn't, those large fleet fights out in nullsec, notice how they only crash a system or few systems? If it was one server, the entire game would crash. Jita is the exception, it has its own node for obvious reasons.

Better?
'Abort, Retry, Fail?' was the phrase some wormdog scrawled next to the door of the Edit Universe project room. And when the new dataspinners started working, fabricating their worlds on the huge organic comp systems, we'd remind them: if you see this message, always choose 'Retry.'

Oh Gawd! I can't believe this has made it to a second page. The OP is going to read it the way he wants, while the rest of us read the message as it was intended. Is it really worth the time to try an educate the uneducateable?
