We used a spreadsheet whereby our FC would keep track of how much ore is mined from each miner. But it seems to be too difficult for him to manage. Can't blame him, really. He's not in an ORCA yet so he has to keep track manually. If he was in an ORCA, then he could just look inside the cargo hold for each miner.
Is there an easier way to track the amount of each ore that a miner mines and minimize his headaches?

One corp I was in used Mining Buddy. I've never administered it, only been a participant, and haven't used it for a couple years.

I don't know if it's still active or not, but it is/was great for mining ops.

Yeah, it looks dead. Anything else? Someone said you could export the looted data but not sure how that works or if it solves the problem since I don't know how the data looks like.

Remember there's loot logging built into the fleet interface.
Remember to only count the ore "looted" by the actual mining pilots, since the Orca pilot will get credit for all ore looted from cans or moved from the ore bay to the corporate hangar, and the hauler pilots will get credit for all ore they loot from the corporate hangar.

Edited by: epsilonion on 19/11/2010 12:40:05 I use this spreadsheet, you can alter cost of ores, rorqual fuel, corp alliance tax etc... Ship types/weights etc, combat protection can be paid from the ammount mined etc..
Time started / finished mining, ship types/weights, and payouts for each miner..
If paying at 10% less then jita prices alter the corp/alliance tax to 10%, then it will take the amount off automaticaly for you.
Minning Workbook - spreadsheet
Hope this helps.. :D

Edited by: MisterNick on 20/11/2010 14:07:34 This is why some know Eve by the name "Spreadsheets in Space"
It makes you use your brain, this is good.
BTW Epsilonion, I took a copy of that spreadsheet myself, as we have a mining op coming up and our FC might find that useful, so ty for that.

I made a online app that helps keep track of how much each member mines. It's as accurate as possible while still being as simple as possible. It should give you a good idea on what to pay each miner while eliminating your guys headaches ha ha. Fleet Mining Tools My email is on that page so feel free to email me with any questions.
