I was thinking that if there was a Sansha fleet wrecking havoc in a system CONCORD would have their hands full.
Like this example: Sansha Incursion in Jita, which is 0.9 would have it's security drop down to 0.7 until the invasion is over.
An Incursion in another system that is 0.6, is now 0.4. The security status can be lowered lesser or more, depending on the severity of the incursion.
This would be in effect until the invasion is over. It would enable an influx of pilots with bad standings enter the system for a period of time, and whatever else you guys can figure it out. I just thought this would be cool and really rock the high sec boat.

Yes, the Sansha invasions need a lot of work from CCP. Any idea would be good that promotes story, lore, and player conflict over what it is now, an EQ/WoW type PvE raid.
Either instantly dropping system security to Low Sec or Null Sec levels or a progressive drop to those security levels over time while the Incursion remain undealt with would be big improvements. So, would some means for players to side with the Sansha. Combine those two changes and Incursions would actually look like a great addition for EVE rather than something so bad would rather never see it implemented.

from what i am lead to believe the incursions will equilly hit low sec aswell as high. so decreasing sec status serves no purpose other than to reduce the ammount of areas available to high sec players. remember this is large scale pve content. it is stated all over the dev blogs etc but is open to pvp disruption. reducing sec status below 0.5 for high sec just makes all the previously high sec areas a mass off pirate activity and makes incursion pointless. the low sec ones have far better rewards so leave that to entice people there.
you havent stated any good reasons for implementing this idea. and trade routes will already be disrupted by the sansha incursion so no need for pirates to be doing it also.

"A mass of pirate activity".... what do you think the Sansha are then?? Incursions is about the invasion of space by an outlaw group.

Good reasons like I don't know??? * Good game play that promotes the Sandox PvP type of MMORPG EVE claims to be. * Mechanics that actually make sense within the context of the game lore.(Why is Concord there to police players when the Sansha have taken over the system?)
Instead you wish to reduce gameplay to PvE farming for loots and gold, where player conflict is heavily constrained and game lore is thrown out the airlock.

as stated in dev blogs etc this is pve luv not more pvp luv. its not designed for every play style. no big rocks for miners, no salv for salvagers, transet routes disrupted. afk haulage is now done at great risk. all rats replaced with sansha, loot and rewards all reduced. and pvp set aside for the defence of the system.
the only thing is this all relys on fleets but only 1 fleet can claim the rewards so naturally at the end there is going to be huge pvp battles as a result. that or people in random fleets are going to smart bomb the hell out of the amassed fleets before they into the fight.
incursion is going to be full of conflickt. you just cannot see it yet

Actually it's not realistic to add at all.
What people seem to forget in all these threads is that CONCORD's mandate is not to protect the systems. That's what the Empire Navy is for. Concord's mandate is very simple. Keep the capsuleer population in high sec space from running rampant. That doesn't change just because the Sanshas decided to show up.
Now if you want to propose that the Navies stop chasing low sec status characters so they can come in and kill the Sansha incursion stuff, that makes perfect sense. --Vel

a pirate is a pirate weather its a npc or a player. as far as eve goes if you have low sec status, enough to get you hunted by the navy's then your a pirate. and you have no place in high sec. sansha are only getting in because they are there is substantial numbers. just because they are there doesn't mean the navy's will see you as friends and welcome you to the party. in their eyes you are just as bad.
also sec status is how protected the system is. just because ships invade doesnt mean there is any less. infact im sure it will be beefed up defence wise during incursions.

Would be funny if in highsec you'd actually see the navy and sanshas battle with each other at gates or something. This way pirates could at least have a little breather flying through them.. ---

That is what I was thinking. The navy would be concerned with evac and protecting the populous. Take my above example. Let a gang of -10 come in. If anybody shoots, that corp of -10 can shoot back. highsec is still highsec, but brings pvp competition to highsec incursions.

incursion hasent even started and pirates are moaning about not having enougth people to kill. if you want to kill people in high sec then work to get a higher sec status. stop moaning to ccp to give you hand outs.

I'm not moaning you noob you obviously don't have a clue what your talking about. I can kill you and your corp carebears in high sec regardless of the security status (please forward me your corp name and real character this would be fun to know) Looks like umad cause you die all the time. gtfo out of my thread QQbaby die some more bye.
Back on topic. Good idea, CCP pass this.

I think kongking wang might actually be right, that it will reduce the amount of Space available to HS Players, if this goes ahead, there will probably be a number of HS Players that either Evac the effected System/s or dock up for the duration of the incursion.

at least someone else see's the problem. all you risk doing is moving every carebear as you call it out of every 0.6 systems and below higher into high sec to avoid incursion making their space low sec.

lol your the one moaning now. i know exactly what im talking about. why do people live in high sec. ask yourself that question for a min and stop thinking about your own tiny place in eve. people live in high sec to get away from people like you.and for your information i have died 1 time in well over a year. how many times have you died. i would luv to find out that information.(hey noob stop posting with an alt and post your main)

Too many things in Eve rely on the sec status of a system.
Dropping a Hi Sec system down to LowSec levels would change too many mechanics. Not to mention its simply seems like an idea to allow pirates to have access to more carebears who dont/cant fight back.
Did you also think about the sec status lock on POSs... there is a sweet little 0.8 system I would love to have a POS in, but CCP has a reason for not allowing this. Your idea would allow people to get towers up in systems like this. ------------------------ Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum "I've got a couple of Strippers on my ship... and they just love to dance!" ------------------------ |

Your not gonna catch carebears off guard and pop them, they will GTFO of the system because im sure there is some sort of advanced warning.
If every great idea people came up with didnt involve sticking it to the mission runners/miners maybe CCP would listen.

And you completely missed my point. I'm starting to think deliberately based on your other replies to the thread.
The Navies are going to have something substantially more important to worry about than a few -10 capsuleers wandering around in their systems when an Incursion is active. Mostly protecting all those tax paying citizens from being abducted, mutilated, etc etc. --Vel

This is what I was going to say. You are a POD pilot, not an eve subordinate character in the world. CONCORD and the Navies are scrambling to secure population centers, POD pilots are capable handling their own.
I see that some people also think this would radically shift the eve paradigm. lol are you kidding me? Sansha Incursion, it's going to rattle the system and disrupt. The vibrations of war need to ripple through eve once again, none of this ignorant "o but i hav to mine mon, tue, thur, wed, fri, sat, sun, errday i cant risk this" you may go try other MMOs. But this timeframe is smaller you are most likely to have a wormhole collapse on you than loose a POS during an Incursion.
There is nothing mechanically wrong with this idea unless CCP says there is, or unless someone comes up with a good enough argument - people like kongking wang are making me zZzz (he should leave the thread by now).

perhaps if this was to happen when the incursion was over 3 days after the sec status would be higher 0.4 would become 0.7 for a period ( but then how do pirates go) thoughts

Ok although im loath to agree with pirates, they do have a point sansha nation are nothing more than pirates so maybe they should be allowed to enter hi sec to the same extent as sansha is allowed to during the incursion once the incursion is over with though they need to leave dodge or be scragged instantly by concord. On a side note they might want to make sansha nation open up as a joinale faction for the pirates so they can then join in the fighting alongside the sansha nation just a thought , I know im being a terrible carebear agreeing with pirates i'll go sit in corner and sulk now lol .
