A moment you will never forget, and certainly will not for a long, long time.
My proudest moment?
In my first ever 0.0 fleet battle I was one of the few interceptor pilots in fleet. After all of them but me got killed (Interceptors had a very low survival rate ), I was solely responsible about making sure that the enemy could not escape us. Despite my noobiness at the time (This was several years ago) I managed to survive the entire battle, and in the process prevented many of the enemy battleships from escaping certain death. I was then commended by the fc for doing an outstanding job, singling me out of a fleet with 100+ pilots. Made me real proud, I tell ya.
So- what was your proudest moment in EVE? _____________________________________________

I don't remember specific moments. In my early days of 2005 I was still finding my place in eve, and so I was trying a bit of everything. Mining and buying rarer ores to build that first Brutix was my first real feel good moment in Eve.
As for PVP, I can't really remember that many specific situations but typically I'm most proud when I manage to chase down and tacke a fleeing target. Most people give up after a few warps, but I always keep trying. Sometimes your mark does not create safespots during the escape and if you just stay on their tail you eventually catch up with them going from planet to planet.
One particular moment I do remember however was baiting a couple of roaming pests who had been bothering the alliance for weeks. I was in a dominix fitted with a whole bunch of smartsbombs and NOS for laughs. The local bully shows up in a stabbed up Deimos with an inty friend. Heavy drones and smartbombs tore the HAC apart and even got the pod in a nicely timed smartbomb explosion while the inty ran off after taking damage. Being able to claim the corpse was one of my more memorable moments in Eve.

Edited by: Sphit Ker on 22/11/2010 05:16:15 ItĘs boring in the grand scheme of things but itĘs a milestone I can never reach again: My first solo kill! My hands kept shaking for over an hour after. The poor chaps showed a pattern and kept showing it. I nailed that Rupture exactly where I wanted. I had no tank at all save for a DC2

Shortly after starting FW in TLF, I was returning solo from a gang in a griffin when I was bounced by a punisher. Rather than panic as had been my usual response up till then I calmly jammed him and enticed him off the gate whilst calling xxx in militia local. Eventually other pilots turned up and he was popped. Even though I wasn't the highest damage dealer nor the final blow I still regard this as my first kill. Not bad for a noob in an ECM ship with no tackle.

During a war dec of the first corp I've created... Like 2 years ago? We were like 15-20 people at that time, in reality like 10 people. I found a hurricane and an armageddon, I had my neut domi, plus I knew that there were at least 2 friends around. I engaged the armageddon neuting it to death relatively fast. The hurricane came to aid him. A short moment later, when I was somehow tanking all of that crap, my megathron friend warped in with a blaster mega, at the same time an enemy abaddon jumped in. The battle was like 10-12 minutes long in total. We blew the armageddon and got the hurricane into hull, at that moment I got blown up and the megathron laid a few finishing touches on the hurricane and warped off.
I was really thrilled at that time since it was my first battleship-sized PVP engagement. At the end, we were the ones to scoop the loot because I came back in my myrmidon seconds after that, the abaddon fled the field. It was sort of a nice victory. We didn't use vent, just chat because we were such noobs :D

My second week into the game I was in a frig roam. We got an alert in Intel that a carrier was tackled. We arrived to find that much of the tackle on the field had been blown up.
I assisted in keeping the carrier pointed while avoiding smart bombs.
This was what sold me on EVE. 2 weeks in and on an carrier kill in a frig gang.

When I was a relativly young missioner I noobishly went into lowsec in my Myrmidon to do a mission. I was swiftly tackled by two pirates.... as I started to slowly run for the gate, I decided that if I was going to go, I would go out fighting....
Activated my tank, started shooting at one of them, and unleashed the full fury of T1 drones on him.
Somehow I managed to force them to run....!
Received an evemail soon after "Well done on fighting back, if you ever want to go pirate contact us"

Then laying a trap with my minerthron kitted out with anti ECM gear (and only a single mininglaser) and wtfpwning the blackbird and freaking out the other 2 cruisers.
This was early on in my carreer mind u.

I have three.
First, was being the warp in point for the entire fleet for the Serpentis Titan event which happened about 3-4 years ago- before I was melted by CCP Event dude Tech II Railguns (Before Tech II was seeded)
Second, Was the "Eastbound and Down" post. Google it.
Third, was getting L5 in everything Caldari and Missiles. (Granted, this is before Titans and a few new skills, but it was a big deal to me back then)

I once convinced a scammer who was using the "Send me x and I'll send 10x back" scam that this was an alt, and that I only had 10 mil on this char, and that my main had nearly a bil.
I then told him I would send all the isk on my alt first, to make sure he was legit, then upon reciving 10x isk back, I would send him all the isk on my 'main'.

when I crossed the 10k post barrier! onward to 20k! (at my current posting rate that will take about 3.5 years )
in game I don't really think I have a defining moment. probably one of the coolest was doing some lowsec gate camping with a mom in fleet, back when moms really were invincible.
heh one of my best moments was probably the time I probed out a cnr and a golem running a mission, got some tasty drops from that

Proudest moment? I don't know, I have quite a few personal favorites.
Somewhere between ... randomly suicide ganking an ex-CEO's rigged Interceptor back when rigs were new (and very expensive) THEN podding him since he was AFK anyway ... or maybe supporting a friend in their decision to effectively disband an alliance ... or in ship to ship PvP, the time I warped my Falcon away at just the right moment so that the Interceptor trying to tackle me (who'd set me to "Approach") was obliterated by carefully timed precision cruise missiles launched from a friendly Raven as the Interceptor came to an automatic stop with his MWD running ... all these moments.

Made the ABSOLUTE best navigational bookmarks in Eve (back when you needed a bookmark to warp to zero)
I only did five regions, and some partial regions, but NO ONE matched my quality. Others made more than I did, but mine were the best.
My Bookmarks NEVER landed someone outside jump range at a gate. (CCPs current "warp to zero" is inferior to my bookmarks. Now and then, on small gates, you land a few hundred meters outside jump range...)
I did purchase other Bookmark sets from other bookmark vendors, with the open statement that I intended to re-sell them. I did not guarentee those sets, but I did give them all some basic testing. ALL OF THEM had some "less than perfect" (could land you more than 0 meters from jump range) bookmarks.
While I never guarenteed sets I did not make, I did "certify" a few sets I did not make. (used everybookmark in the set at least once, and corrected any bad ones I found...)
Play nice while you butcher each other.

I guess it would be forming the informal RAF (Ranger Alliance Fleet, of course) back in the day and actually having large numbers of people asking to join. We kept Aridia and the southern entrances to Fountain clear of undesireables.
Either that or later being elected to the Fountain Alliance ruling council. Caught me completely by surprise. Unfortunately I had a hand in disbanding that alliance a few months later, but I'm not proud of that. It was more of a mercy killing. They had great ideals, but flawed implementation. As we all learned, in EVE arrogance can get you killed.
Playing a part in halting the original Max Damage campaign was fairly memorable too. It pushed myself and everyone participating to the limits of their skill... always a good thing. ===== If you go to Za'Ha'Dum I will gank you. |

There are a few;
First Tournament
We came into that with many very new characters and one for the first time in a combat op for the tournament, yes we roped a bear.
Then it was that time we lost our scout to a Pure gatecamp in the drone regions, he reported 12 hostiles and we had 4 guys left, we jumped in anyways and beat the hell out of them.
There was that one time when I get a distress call from a pilot of ours getting jumped by pirates in low sec. He goes down as I warp in and I find myself 1 vs 3, soon to be 4, I target the command ship and start blasting.
The Pandemic Legion pilot with the insane killratio goes down like a 2 isk ho and through crafty navigating I get out of scramble range of the others and warp off just as he returns in a new ship.
Same system different ship, I take on a group of 3 pilots and beat them, not once but twice and I think the message has been sent and go looting and think 'I won't be needing those 800s'. They come back a third time and I cap out and goes down finally.
Should/would/could have, HAVE you chav!
