Looking for decent Tempest loadout suggestions - can use Cruise and Torps also - for PVP and PVE.
Any suggestions welcome.

6 1400mm, cruise, rocket w/ defenders
1 t2 100mn AB or Lif, sensor booster t2, large shield booster t2, 2 tracking computer t2s
5 gyro t2, 1 reactor control t2

Hey there Helpless
Being an ex tempest pilot myself, i can give you myset up for the PVE battles.
High Slots: 4 Seige, 4 1400 Howitzers or 2 1400 Howitzers and 2 Heavy Nos (good for level 4)
Med Slot: Shield Boost Amp, XL Shield Booster, 2 Shield hardners, Tech II Cap recharger (expensive module)
Low Slots: Ballistic Control, and however many cap relays u can fit without CPU/Powergrid mods.

Highs:
6*1400's
1*Cruise launcher
1*Rocket Launcher (defenders)
Meds:
1*100mn mwd
1*Large Shield Booster
1*EM Shield Hardener (or your preference)
1*Sensor Booster
1*Tracking Computer
Lows:
1*RCU
1*PDS
4*Damage mods
change stuff to t2 when you have the skills for it. 1400's are long range and the mwd helps to get out there. I save the cruise for incoming tacklers, they just take too long to get to the target.

I'm lost, why do people persist with using tracking computer on a ranged setup?
Ahh I see now, +10% range. I assume that means a boost in optimal.

here's an alternative setup:
4x siege with torps, 4x heavy nos
LIF AB, 2x 20k scrambler, 2x tracking disruptor
3x balistic control, 3x local hull overdrive
orbit at 15k, turn everything on, sit back and relax (except versus a raven where u run).

Short range/armor tank on the Tempest is teh uber for everything

I usually armor tank now - up to Cyclones but what would you suggest for such a setup on a templest?

This one sounds like fun  However no tanking?
