Hi
I've just reactivated my account after a long break and decided to start flying the missions for Amarr. My problem is that after having flown missions for Gallente my whole career, my standing to Amarr empire is reduced to -5.57 with the effect that I am attacked when entering amarr space
My question is therefore where I can find an agent related to Amarr empire - who live outside amarr space. I really want to improve my standing, and be friends with the amarrians again.

Welcome back to Eve.
-5.57 Amarr Faction standing isn't that hard to repair. Since you were doing missions for Gallente, I'm thinking that your Caldari Faction Standing is probably worse than the Amarr standing.
Training Diplomacy, Social and Negotiation skills will help. With a little bit of mission grinding and completing a storyline for a level 1 quality 0 Amarr Agent located in Gallente or Minmatar space, you should be able to raise Amarr Faction Standing above -5.00 and then can start working this Faction Standing Repair Plan.

Good luck
Edit: Stop killing Empire Faction NPC's.

Thx for the help - I will look at http://eve-agents.com/ and see if I can find a Amarr agent outside the "Empire"

Edited by: Delta Bacat on 26/11/2010 16:37:22 So, about faction boosting....
No no, read on first!
Ok, say my faction rep is horrible and a mate blitzes a lot of lvl4 missions for me with a corp in said faction (shared rewards). That way, my rep with the corp increases to the level at which I can do level 4 missions for that corp, giving me access to lvl 4 Faction storyline missions. Questions:
- Can you boost your standing with a corp which faction you're hostile with like that? - Would this be faster than the faction repair plan by DeMichael?

If a mate shares mission rewards with you, indeed your standings with that corp will increase.
However so long as your standings with the faction remain below -2.0 you will NOT be able to access any agents above level 1 with negative quality. If your standing with a faction is still below -5.0 you will not be able to run any missions for any corp within that faction at all.
So - yes your standings with the corp will go up. But you will (probably) not be able to run those level 4 missions.

Close to being correct.
The first part about not being able to access any high level agents with a Faction standing of -2.00 or lower is correct. Only Level 1 Quality 0 and lower level agents are available unless the Faction standing is maintained above -2.00 and you have the required amount of Corporation or personal Agent standing.
If Faction standing is at -5.00 or lower, you'll be attacked by that Factions Navy NPC's if you enter it's Faction controlled space. However, all Level 1 Quality 0 or lower agents will still be available.
Also all regular Storyline agents are actually level 1 quality 0 agents which makes them available to everyone regardless of standings even though they can offer up to lv 5 storyline missions to those that qualify.
Now for the 2 questions: - Can you boost your standing with a corp which faction you're hostile with like that?
Yes, but it's going to take a while since you'll have to complete 16 regular missions just to get 1 storyline mission for Faction standing increase.
- Would this be faster than the faction repair plan by DeMichael?
No, and no again. In fact for a 3rd time, NO.
By the time you have completed 16 missions and 1 storyline mission for Faction standing increase, I would already have completed 17 Event Agent missions for Faction standing increase from each one.

But to answer your question about low level amarr agents in minmatar space, check out the joint harvesting corporation, they have multiple level one agents two jumps from rens, and level 2 and 3 agents in minmatar space as well. The event agents described above are all storyline agents, but will take you into amarr high sec.
At least ccp changed the level 1 low quality agent access so you can repair your standing, but get all the diplomacy skill levels, level 1 storyline standings are a slow road back.

Hi DeMichael, thanks for the comprehensive answer! Would have actually started on my faction repair method if you hadn't explained the -2.00 faction thing.

Specifically, try to avoid destroying sentry turrets. Killing one of these gives a huge faction penalty compared to the common battleship. Besides, you never need to destroy sentry turrets to activate an acceleration gate.

i havent taken the time to look at the DeMichael guide yet, but if your trying to get back in the good graces of the amarrian brotherhood, try one of their sister factions(AMATARR is a good place to start), when you get story line missions, all factions with positive relations to the faction your running for gain faction standing.
i believe Amatarr and Amarr have like a 7 or 8.0 faction standing with eachother meaning you can get a relatively sizeable bonus to amarr by running faction missions for amatarr. this saves you the effort of getting shot if you are "Kill on Sight" within their borders like i am, -6.something...
