Introduction!
Welcome! This is the first SOE event since T'Amber sold the SOE name to me. With that said, we're still planning exactly what we want to do with future SOE events (think bigger and badder), but we didn't want to keep you all waiting while we figure that out! There will be no Spahm Day or an equivalent for this competition, since this is filler material until we can bring you The Real Deal (tm). So, without further ado, here is a trifecta of total triumph:
Main Event : Poasting Pirates
Everyone knows that while pirates aren't very literate, they've never had a problem poasting all over the EVE-O forums. Poasting Pirates is a lottery that costs 1 Million ISK and a forum post in this thread to enter! Somewhere in the post should be the word 'YARR'. I will then draw two winners on December 18th at 20:00 EVE Time. Method to be determined (I said we were winging this).
1st Prize : Rattlesnake, Nightmare, Vindicator, Machariel
2nd Prize : All ISK used to buy-in to SOE 7 : Intermission
Send ISK to the corporation www.shipsofeve.com with the reason SOE7 and don't forget to post!

Secondary Event : Coloring Contest
The lovely IzzyChan designed some wonderful banners for the EVE Series of Poker III event going on right now. This rifter design was too good to NOT show off, so I want YOU to color this image and possibly win a bunch of ISK:

Rules: Color this image however you see fit, upload it to www.eve-files.com with the description SOE7 COLOR and post the link in this thread! Please do not copy the whole image in! You can also enter more than once. We also have a panel of FANTASTIC CELEBRITY JUDGES who will decide who wins this contest! These are, in no particular order:
- Akita T
- Chribba
- Grendell
- Mynxee
- SUPER SECRET (Probably me)
Judges are allowed to comment in this thread, and to praise or mock any entries well before the final deadline of December 18th at 20:00 EVE Time.
Prizes: The winner of the coloring contest wins a cool 500 Million ISK. Each of the five judges will also be able to pick one additional entrant as a runner-up, which will net those five people 100m each. The same entry may not win more than one of these!
Second Secondary Event : FAMOUS HATS OF EVE
There is no one but T'Amber to blame for this one. I can't believe I'm doing this.
Some of you may be familiar with this very special concept of a hat. This contest involves making a hat for one of the five judges of the coloring contest. You can find large images of them here:
Rules: Make hats that are decent for human consumption (i.e. not violating EVE-O image appropriateness rules), upload it to www.eve-files.com with the description SOE7 HAT and post the link in this thread! Please do not copy the whole image in! You can also enter more than once.
Prizes: The judges for the coloring contest will ALSO pick a favorite hat, with the winner getting 500 Million ISK. The same deal with each judge being able to pick a favorite for an additional 100 Million ISK applies as well.

This is a tale of a few capsuleers,
Roaming across Tenerifis during the Ships of Eve 7 intermission
Ravaging through dead miner cans
Stealing drones and checking scans
A Blood thirsty fleet commander and a cut throat crew
Fifteen men of 'em good and true
with hearts as black as coal
Hoisting the Jolly Roger,
Marking merchants for murder
They were devils, the pirate crew
Dirty scum, covered in poo
Every man in fleet would have killed their mates
Had they reason for some faction plate
Ev'ry man of them could have sailed with Mittens,
Except that he recently lost his kitten
So, what to do, during this intermission?
Hark, they won't do missions
To Impass, booty awaits, avast!
And there it was, on murky rise
A fat lumbering Orca, N'ver a sight so de'light
To pillage, to plunder to rifle and loot
Ravage the merchant and not give a hoot
Hand over your loot, or you'll get the boot
No! cry'ed the merchant racing to warp, trying to scarp
YARR!! The pirates yelled, with souls alight
Nightmares and Machariels lighting up the night
The Orca floundered and began to sink
The burning hull lighting up like a Cynosural link
Shiver me timbers, shiver me sides
The pirates will not be defied
I surrender! The merchant screamed
Eject and you won't be creamed
But the pirates they could not be trusted
With a Yo ho ho, and an autocannon shell
They sent the merchant back to Synchelle
There was chest on chest of Megacyte, Technetium and Fullerides
With a ton of armor plate in the corporate hold
And the cargohold riot with stuff untold,
But what lay there that took the plum
Titan BPOs times two and the pirates lips were struck dumb
While all shared by the rule of thumb,
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

Not a circuit was buzzing, not one microchip:
The missiles (sadly) were hung in the armory securely,
Yes I know that they suck but I fly a fleet drake demurely.
The crewmen were nestled all snug in their bunks
Except for future goons who are partying drunks.
And Torn in his nightshirt, staring at the screen sadly,
thought Eve had started to suck and I mean quite badly. . .
When out in the chat there arose such a racket,
I opened up that window quickly as I'm not slowed by brackets.
And then the comms crackled with furious delight
"I just made a hundred million while waiting for a fight!"
"Am I in Jita?" I thought, as usual hungover
The mindflood had worn off and I was no longer bolder...
But I clicked on the link and found such a curious site,
Introduced by a siren named Selene that made it seem all right.
ISK Six is her Alliance, some silly corp name
But Behold! What a wonderful amazing game!
"It's EOHPOKER, you can sign up right now,
just deposit some isk and we'll show you how"
And OH! the capsuleers that you will be able to meet!
From all reaches of the galaxy they are willing to seat
It's cosmin and twarlock and hydrogen, I think,
who check raised me faster than I can even BlinkÖ
So many others to list, its not even funny,
Somer better than others, so watch your spaceshipz moniez.
"Scam! Dealer hax! This cannot be real!"
The losses and wins can be quite surreal.
"GG" you might read, or worse, as you get your ass tanned,
Table smack is permitted just don't get your chat banned
But one thing is certain, one thing is right...
You'll keep coming back night after night.
As you stare out into the universe begging a banker to appear,
unlike gate camps that produce nothing don't fear,
Selene sits on her throne, with a grin on her face,
Her Raven State Issue warping off, disappearing into space.
You can almost hear her exclaim as she dwindles from sight,
cursing at the incompetent Sephixan with all of her might,
"Merry Christmas to YARR, and rake YARR a good night!"
(As a side note, I'd say, I pray I do win,
As I've lost my ass these days way past the skin,
A battleship certainly would help my ability,
To deposit again with much more agility.
As a player for staff I'm a pain in the rear,
although some truly might hold me quite dear.
Even those that I think suck, wishing YARR a happy holiday,
and again I urge new players to give you a play.)

Noticed you didnt add my last hat entry and Dethmourne Silvermane's rifter colouring entry on the entry post on
page 1 does that mean those 2 arnt counted or where those added when you where drunk and forgot about them hehe? :P

Not going to do the whole point-by-point evaluation I did for the first half of the contestants, I'm just going to give my top 3 too
Rifters
1st : Xing Fey Linkage
The Hello Kitty Rifter is absolutely adorable ! Plus we know, cats fight dirty, and so does a Rifter
2nd : Master Zeuth Linkage
That was in spite of the decal
3rd : Simen 123 Linkage
I found it hilarious for the reasons mentioned before, not just because I like the color scheme.
Honourable mentions to Haargoth Civire and Bomberlocks, but there were quite a few others I enjoyed, it was difficult to select just a few.
Hats!
1st : JSSix Linkage
2nd : Mono Monsta Linkage
3rd : Bomberlocks Linkage
Honourable mentions to Lutz Major, MonoMonsta again and Not T'Amber. A few others were nice, but again, not really standing out to me.

These are my votes, not the overall contest results.
Rifters
1 - Bomberlocks. The color is done really well. Want to do some ad work? =D
2 - Xing Fey. #1. I know, I picked this one instead of hello kitty. Sue me.
3 - Master Zeuth. I have a soft spot for goon art.
Honorable Mention. JSSix #2. I really like the coloring on this one as well, but the lack of background kept it from my top 3 list.
Hats
1 - Bomberlocks. As much as I feared being the subject of hats, this one is just well done.
2 - Miss Kitteh. #3. Akita T as a nun is hilarious.
3 - JSSix. #1. This won hands down, and I have to give it a vote.
Honorable Mention. Skjordr Longfang. The other Mynxee hat overshadowed, but I like this one too.
