Very slight boost needed to make this ship not "the worse pirate faction" cruiser in eve. There is a reason these ships are always cheaper than Gila's, Cynabals, whatever you name it.
Simply put it is underwhelming - which is a disappointing considering it may be one of the coolest looking ships in the game.
1. Add some PG so it can fit a proper shield tank without mods and/or rigs. 2. Increase speed or 3. Boost cap or 4. Something else to make it a little sweeter, but 5. No need to make it OP.
I just want to fly it b/c it looks cool - but it sucks otherwise.
At least give it a slight boost to PG so it can fit a proper shield tank without having to fit a PDU II or sacrifice a rig.

I agree but I also think the specific buff should be an optimal range bonus to the phantasm.
Why? All factions cruisers are similar to their t2 counterpart with different advantages and disadvantages. The cynaabal is equivalent to the vagabond, gila to the ishtar and vigilant to the deimos. Only the ashimmu and phantasm are the oddman out. The ashimmu is a weird curse with lasers gets the neut and web bonus and the phantasm is....a shield tanking harbinger? Giving the phantasm the range, or close, of a zealot with a tracking bonus and better shield tank would go along way for making it a useful ship.

yes sweet jesus please fix it. it is so god dam cool looking. and would be great in drake fleets if it wasnt so terribad as it is. imo a huge boost to base cap would be a start. a pg boost as well. as it is it super tight on grid and requires a cap inejector efectivly making it a 5 mid 3 low ship which sucks.

bring back the old shield HP it had before the faction ships rebalancing and the phantasm is ok

Phantasm only has 14 slots. Every other pirate cruiser has 15 slots.
Give us our missing low!

This pretty much sums it up; poor cap and low power grid make for a "terribad" combination effectively gimping this ship to a nice station spinner and nothing more.

Another turret hardpoint along with another low would be sweet. Still don't know if it'd be as good as the others (poor poor ashimmu would still be screwed if it got like 23425 more slots) with those changes, though.

If the Nightmare is nerfed any more then it is currently, they'll have to start seeding a BPO.
Thus I doubt it.

The phantasm needs a little improvement. Nothing drastic - maybe a bit more speed would do the trick.

the phantasm nerf wasnt needed in the first place, especialy when they buff the other pirate ships
brigning back the old hp is a must the you could - add a bit of pg so it can fit a rack of HPL w/o fitting mod - increase speed / agi - give it a 4th low slot

Seriously - why did they nerf arguably the coolest looking ship in the game?
Cynabal - vaga on steroids Vigilant - deimos of doom; death to anything in its sights Gila - An ishtar with missiles. Good pvp and even pve uses. Phantasm - no faster than a zealot. Less cap stable, less dps. Has a tiny drone bay that does not compensate.
Sesame Street reasoning even highlights the issue ("One of these ships is not like the others . . .").

Yes, make Phantasm at more viable, I fiddled with the fittings a bit, but I don't see for what it would be useful. I'd say Zealot, even Cerberus outperform it under most circumstances. It's one of those things where you might come to the conclusion that because it has Caldari written on it they made it extra****ty.

Might be a nice chance to take a look at the sansha ships. Maybe use that other frigate model to make a interceptor like ship.

less armor less shield and gets a bit more cap , and they buffed almost all other faction ship

woah, I never noticed that.
and still even with this missing low it used to be considered one of the best ships in the game.
I think just adding the missing low would fix the ship for sure.

I'd even be happy with replacing the "medium energy turret damage" with "energy turret damage" bonus  That huge PG absolutely begs to be abused!
Some extra drone space could be nice too .. or speed .. or .... a web range bonus or ...
