Whats the best way to counter nano wuss's without stuping to their tactics of running around at 2600 m/second and keeping out of range all the time?
I'm fed up of playing games with cynabals, vaga's and nano drakes and whatever else they can get to go fast and hit at longish range

Double or triple web Rapier/Huginn, double web immo-D Loki. Arazu/Lachesis with scram. For general purpose ships, tracking disruptors work wonders by turning my speed or range-keeping ability against me.

The best way to counter nano wuss's is to stop playing, since I can feel that u r getting burned out at Eve. Just take a break and dont take this game too seriously. I am not going to change my style of play to accomodate yr style of play. Stop whining. Why do I have to play the way you want me to play? That do not make sense. I am not playing for your entertainment, so if I decide to use nano vaga, maybe u should accept it the way it is. If you dont like it, just stop playing. |

Did't try this self yet but a HM Cerb maybe? Not sure if it can destroy them..but fending them off I guess. HMs should do quite good damage - at least as long as their MWD is on. -

Also include Dramiels, and others like it.
The only counter I've found (unless you have scram plus double webs) is to either avoid them or trap them. Trapping typically requires two or more ships where your friends are not visible, and you can find a way to land on zero on the bad guy. Or get them to land on 0 on you.
Thank you.

1. Fly the same ships
2. More tacklers/more recons
3. Cry endlessly on the forums. It has gotten nano ships nerfed in the past

Pretty much this. If you just want to make them go away, anything that can do good DPS out to 40km or so and has a better tank than the nanof**s will also work. Signature removed. |

If your in a gang and preferably able to get repped try a Curse with a Large Faction Nuetrilizer.
Range approx 60 - 85KM with recon 4/5
That usually stops them and your DPS gangmates can pop them at will.

Don't follow vanilla forum fits and fit a scripted tracking disrupter, they'll either run, or slow down and/or move closer.
As for nano drake.. idk what you possibly trying to solo one in, and why.. that you can't catch it or bolt yourself.

I would think you are refering to solo pvp. In gangs you have many many options. Planning how you deal with these types of ships is really what the game is about.
For solo at least in low sec typically you should be either: 1) fast enough to catch stuff 2) have enough range to hit stuff at least to disruptor range 3) have enough tank to deal with long range threats 4) have ewar to help you with these situations. 5) be small enough that this stuff can't catch you.
If you are in a slow short range boat with little tank and no ewar tricks.... -Cearain

This. A T2 track with optimal range script will reduce a max skilled Cynabal from 3.9km optimal + 44km falloff to 2km optimal + 23km falloff. That means that around point range it'll be doing bugger all damage.

Is it allowed to be called nano going a paltry 2600m/s ? O_o
Heavy nuts, tracking disruptors, ceptors, curse, rapier/gin, 120km loadup spot and a rack of 1400's +some painters.
Dominix with mwd, 2xomnidirs, web, scram, two heavy nuts, 5 webber drones, always a good idea ;)

There is none. You will have to instead change your bad attitude.

If this was 2 years ago and Eve was still in the Nano-age, you might have a point.
Be thankful you don't have to deal with overheated Vagas doing 8000ms or Ishtars rocketing out of gatecamp bubbles at 5200ms...

1- Frigs
2- MEANT to be the fastest frig in the game, or close to it

1) Ditch that slow *ss battleship, for a faster pvp friendly ship. 2) Select a station in the overview, right click & hit dock. 3) Rage log & go back to playing Halo

Dramiels annoy people because they can run away, but that's really the only thing they're good at. This makes them ideal for people with commitment issues. Any recon will completely shut them down, and any kind of tank will make him unable to hurt you.

Edited by: Sean Faust on 30/11/2010 17:51:49 The simple solution is support. You can easily counter nanogangs by putting a bigger emphasis on our support sips (recons, ewar, logistics, tackle) and not having everyone in a BS/BC/Hac. Nano is a counter for straight up gank and tank, but having an equivalently sized gang with proper support (meaning 1/3 of your gang in DPS ships, 1/3 in ewar/logi, 1/3 in tackle) will lay waste to a nano gang. I've been getting frustrated with nano gangs myself, but I've found that they aren't a problem when we have more than a couple recons in the group and some logistics. Your frustrations aren't with nanogangs, it's with the fact that the people you fly with fly straight up gank and tank ships because they want to "melt faces."
Get a properly setup gang with a significant amount of SUPPORT ships and nanogangs will die horribly, or at the very least disengage and run screaming for the hills.
Ever seen what happens to a nanogang when it runs into an AHAC gang? The ones that are dumb enough to try to fight don't last long at all.
You're not whining about nanofitted ships. You're whining about your corpmates'(and your own) inability/unwillingness to jump into proper SUPPORT ships. Take it up with them, not with us.

A big old bait domi with 3 heavy neuts should almost kill the vagas cap , if there out of the neuts range unless they have faction points u should be able to escape. A capless nano is a dead nano , the fed navy webs can stretch to 18k I think overheated .Probably wouldn't engage a few curses either but u can always try
