Hunt of a Lifetime
Offer Description
I have a very special offer for you, Armaged, something which I wouldn't offer anyone other than my
most esteemed associates. I have a rare 1 run Caldari Navy battleship blueprint, a Raven to be exact,
which I am willing to part with for a few items which would be of considerable worth to me, but probably
little use for you. What I am looking for is 5 insignias, which you might refer to as 'dog tags', which are
carried by certain infamous individuals, who are all wanted on numerous accounts by the Caldari State
and CONCORD. I will give you a little hint on where to find these scoundrels, but I would advise extreme
caution on engaging them in combat, they are definitely not to be trifled with.
First on my list is Estamel Tharchon. A murderer and rebel, Estamel joined the Guristas organization with
the sole purpose to damaging the Caldari State. Whatever her reasons, she has become an enormous
threat to the State, as well having brought about countless barbaric acts in the Caldari border zone,
including kidnappings, murders, torture. She will most likely be lurking about somewhere in no-mans land,
possibly around or in the Guristas controlled territories.
Taisu comes from a powerful family of mercenaries within the Mordus Legion. She was banished from the
Legion many years ago for conducting her own private operations behind their back. Today she is a
feared mercenary, captain of a powerful battleship. The last I heard she was working for a Gallente
Senator, agents for the Federation would probably know more about that than me ...
Raelek is simply one of the most cunning and cruel villains ever to pollute our fair nation. He is currently
the leader of most, if not all, Angel Cartel activity inside the Caldari State, and is rumored to reside within
a fortified base somewhere in the Caldari territories. He is on the State's top 10 list of the most wanted
criminals.
The other two tags should be easy enough to find, numerous Dread Guristas pilots carry them.

That sucks!
GM's just don't want that ship exposed to the limelight - Joshua's frigate is first and the only one they'll allow next is likely to be some sort of cruisers.
Hardworking agent runners who get the BS will have to wait for GM's to "let2 them have what they promised in the stickied thread!

Maybe there's something wrong with the number of LP you need for the BS. I mean a frigate for 75k and 250k for a cruiser sounds alot when you get a BS for 500k. This is still an insane amount that i'll need ages for to get but it's not that much compared to the LPs needed for the other 2 lower ship classes.

The stats on that thing looks damn nice, but 500 k loyalty points + a bunch of rare tags + the mins to build the ship. You looking at a minimum of 600 mill for the ship. I think i would rather have 6 regular ravens, these offers are way to steep for my liking. I agree that there shouldnt be loads of faction bs around, but come on 500k? with my agent i prolly need to do 700-800 missions eeekk. But congrats any ways

The 'only' differences are the extra missile slot, 50% more armour and shield, and 20 more CPU. But those are good bonuses for a Raven :)

Well for one thing CCP doesn't want anyone to have these seemingly.
First, Some Tags still aren't in game.
Second, the drops don't come from missions.
Call me crazy here, but mission offers should call for mission drops.
Third, it's nothing more than a wild goosechase following, or trying to, the Agent's text to even try to find these NPCs.
Right now I'd really love to know exactly what I busted my hump for so danged hard, soloing Missions like mad for weeks straight for this slap in the face.

Well... the tags it asks for aren't all that bad. Ask a bit around your former alliance-mates and you should have not much trouble finding someone who has the dread guristas/officer tags.
The only tag I really wouldn't know where to look for is Raelak's tag. But from the description, I'd assume that it is either a mission NPC that appears in some Caldari State missions (in that case some other mission runners might have got it) or that that NPC is spawned in some Angel complex in Caldari space (if there is such a thing).

well i have been mission running for 6 months straight, and dont recall seeing any of those rats at all, except the dread ones. Even the dread tags can be a pain, altho nothin compared to estamel and his friends tags

But hey, if you manage to track Estamel Tharchon down for the tag you'll be in line for some very nice loot too. Estamel's modified weapons and modules are some of the best in game.

Hey hey, I know where she is... She's a lvl 3 Guristas Agent in Y-4CFK, did lots of missions for her a while ago.
But anyway, officer spawns are pretty rare so it's not realistic to find exactly that spawn in the week you have to complete the offer. You'll need to buy them off people who hunt NPCs in 0.0. I wouldn't be surprised if there's more than 5 people who have Estamel's tag in PA/ex-PA alone though. And maybe a few more in the other regions that have good Guristas spawns.

I do disagree completely however. In fact there is a sticky post up above where many of us have been posting the offers so that everyone knows what they are and what it's goping to take.
If folks didn't do things like this, sites like EVE_I wouldn't exist.
But hey, whaddaya know.

I think this offer, just like most existing agent offers, needs some adaption.
The agent offer is supposed to be a kind of reward for being loyal and doing many missions. Gathering the needed required stuff to be able to accept an offer, should not be that hard. Most important ingredient should be the loyalty points, reflecting how loyal/hard working one is, not other items/tags.
It seems that for this particular offer, it will be harder to get the needed tags than the loyalty points. Note that the offer only gives you a BPC, not a real ship. After acquiring the BPC you still need to gather the needed stuff to build that ship.
Knowing this, 500000 loyalty points seems to me a reasonable amount for a Caldari Navy Raven BPC. I got myself now 200000, so maybe in a month or two I could have enough for that BPC.
Since the beginning of this game I specialized in agent missions for Caldari Navy, but never found in any battle with the guristas a dread guristas item or tag. The officers, which tags are also needed for this offer, I have never seen before.
Buying these tags from other players at probably ridicilous prices, does not reward the agent runner, but the seller of the tags. I don't think this can be the idea behind the agent offers.

Its all about the community working together.
You can get the tags from npc hunting. I personally like the idea that someone will have to either buy the tags or go and try something else to ge the necessary tags.

It makes perfect sense for your agent to ask for a tag of a guristas officer.
It's a good thing that gives 0.0 npc hunter some better income, that got ruined by bs commander spawns in empire.
Also it makes sure you have to interact with other people, wouldn't be fun if you'd get everything needed for an offer from your agent. |

Man I'm really getting tired of hearing you sing the same song over and over and over again.
Oh you poor 0.0 npc hunting slobs, those poor dears have such rough times.
Loot drops are 10000000 times better than in empire. You earn millions selling named loot through escrow ect... Most of you are pretty safe being member of some alliance or other and in alliance protected space.
All high end ores can be found there ect...
You poor dears have it soooooooo bad.
Empire Bs commander spawns ruining anything for you guys? I don't think so, because a commander very rarely spawns in empire and if they do your lucky if he drops anything worthwhile at all(courtesy of you 0.0 whiners). To give an example I've been doing missions since june 2003. And since they introduced the missions with a chance for a commander I think I got one twice. And that's a lot of missions.....
I'm getting sick of this ever returning whine that any chance of something worthwhile ever dropping in empire space would be soooo disastrous and would ruin all you 0.0 hunters income soo bad.........
Gimme a break.
Don't get me wrong I'm not suggesting or asking for Estamels modified whatever crud, should drop in empire. I think the best loot should still be dropping in 0.0. But to come here and state that anything got ruined for you guys? Oh please, loot drops in empire are so pathetic thnx to that sort of whines that you can rest assured of the abiltiy to sell named items through escrow at insanely bloated prices for a very long time to come.
0.0 NPC hunters income is still way higher than that of an empire mission runner. Stating anything other is just plain lies. You might not have a 750k or 1000k bounty on all your bs spawns but those spawns dropping mods or tags you sell on escrow for >50mill more than makes up for those missed bounties....

Who protects that space? Are you safe from pirates? Are there almost guaranteed (as in lvl4 kill missions) BS spawns? You¦re so sure the drops are soooooo much better?
I live in 0.0 for a year and a half and I also do lvl4 missions...trust me 0.0 is not as easy as you make of it. If for some reason I¦m down in empire and doing missions I¦m not losing money... 1 out of 10 0.0 BS drops is even worth not recycling... I think I had over 200 siege launchers at a time and I¦m mostly hunting solo.
Tbh if my sole purpose in this game was to make money, I wouldn¦t even bother to go to 0.0 now that there are lvl4 missions
So stop whining and if you want to get a taste instead of assuming, go and join an alliance and come back after that.

Be glad you at least got apropriate loot, of the 15% of BS in empire that do drop a can almost none of em is filled with any apropriate loot. I'm craving for a simple siege launcher to drop instead of the usual civillian shield booster.......

Im working hard and saving my lp for that offer. Im not looking forward to the wild goose chase tryin to find those tags. U make a good point, for being loyal ur agent slaps u 1 and says gl tryin to find these hahahaha. I hope u do find the tags, it would b a shame to miss out on the offer, if u dont jus dont do anny missions and wait for him to offer it again. wen u do find the tags it would b really nice if u could make a post saying were u found em, that would narrow the search a bit for us lot behind u dreaming of the day we get offerd it

I would not bother accepting the offer. Most higher range bpc's require skills and components that are even rarer than estamel. Check my other posts regarding a Caldari Navy Shield boost amplifier bpc, and another person who got a tempest bpc that requires a component which isnt on the market.
Zrakor stated that higher lp's would give you the actual ship, rather than the bpc. This is the way to go, even if it means getting an extra 250k loyalty points, at least u know exactly what you are getting.

I know where you can find this rat Estamel Tharchon 10 000 000. He is a deep space rat in guristas space that hangs around -1.0 systems and very very rarely spawns. Like much harder than finding a dread guristas. I saw a 10m rat one time in fountain of the serp type Cormack Vaaja 10 000 000. This rat was also in -1.0 space. I have only seen one of these rats in all my time playing if that makes you feel any better lol... to bad I was in a ceptor wouldn't of stood a chance to kill him. Also -1.0 systems are ones that have merxo if you want to look, but I don't think you'll find him, at least alone.

Estamel and the other officer rats don't only spawn in mercoxit systems, but anywhere in their sovereignty area as well.

Actually, they spawn anywhere in their area of influence.
Sovereignty for guristas is restricted to Venal. But I've killed Kaikka in tenal.
Officers and dread spawns have highest chance of appearing in npc sovereignty (as in venal), -1.0 security, stationholding systems with high spawn turnover.
But they can even appear in a -0.3 kernite holding pure blind system 25 jumps from station.
And as far as capt goes with this whining about his loot drops in his fecking 1.0 security rating missions.
0.0 belts drop crap loot 95% of the time too. Only way to get nice loot is to kill a ****load of spawns.
oh, and npcing is safe eh ?

It can be extracted from the Eve client.
But to make it easier, ore distribution ties in with it as well. Check for systems with Arkonor or Bistot and you have found at least a -0.8 system. If you get named mercoxit you should have a -1.0 or thereabouts.
But sovereignty counts as well, as does having a station in system. And of course more belts = > chance of something being in one.

FYI I wasn't talking about 1.0 only, theres a whole range of different security space before you get to the "holy" 0.0 .

And when saying 0.0 was safe I meant the area controlled by the alliance your a member of. If your not in the outskirts but deep in controlled territory then risk is same as in empire. If your not a member of the alliance and try to enter the arae then yes the risk is high.
And I don't think loot drops are that bad npc'ing in 0.0 if you see the amount of dread gurrista's crud and true blood this and other named and very expensive mods on escrow.....
But I guess I got misunderstood again, while I clearly stated that I did not request estamels or dread gurrista crud to drop in empire. I would be glad with 5-10% better loot than what drops now. If something drops at least....
I would even settle for the current crud if 90% of ships in deadspace would drop at least "something" instead of the 80% of em not dropping anything at all at the moment......
