HD5850 graphics card, handles everything I've thrown at it so far, even any of the Crysis games in max quality without a problem. Along comes eve with 8xAA, open 2 clients.
4.8 FPS
I think this is more of a bug than too much for my card. Close one client, FPS is up to 150 w/o vsync.

Edited by: Mashie Saldana on 30/11/2010 16:35:26 It's a very old issue with ATI cards + EVE + AA, if the total pixel area of the two windowed EVE clients are bigger than the pixel area of your primary display your FPS will be near zero.
For example:
Two 1024x768 clients will work fine on a 1600x1200 display Two 1280x1024 clients will grind to a halt on a 1600x1200 display Two 1280x1024 clients will work fine on a 2560x1600 display Two 1600x1200 clients will work fine on a 2560x1600 display Two 1920x1200 clients will grind to a halt on a 2560x1600 display
This is on an ATI 4870x2
This will only occur with AA enabled in client or in the driver. AA disabled and it is working fine. Also having two 2560x1600 displays doesn't let you run two 1920x1200 clients with AA enabled.
I have a feeling this would be resolved if I used a 5xxx card and enable EyeFinity as the base frame buffer will be increased to cover both the screens pixel area.

Fillrate limit makes you hit the wall. (Well, your gfx card in that case.)

I was running two windowed clients earlier in 1680x1050 on a 1680x1050 display and mining/hauling quite happily - I only have an ATI 4850 *shrugs*
I just used alt-tab to bring the other window to the front when I needed it, no need to look at both of them :) |

2x HD 4890, 1920x1080 & 1680x1050. Aero glass themes on. Interval default, 8X AA. Stays at 2x 60fps for a few minutes, then sinks to <1fps for ten seconds or so. Returns to normal shortly afterwards.

Phenom 955 3.2Ghz quad core, 8GB ram and 120GB SSD
CPU is somwhere around 10-15% with 2 clients running and ram usage is about 2.5GB

Edited by: Blacksquirrel on 30/11/2010 20:13:16 Yeah I have a similar setup, but I dont even have the option to enable AA. Looks like an ATI optimization/bug thing.
