yep me too. All I can say is whitedwarf/darkmatter sold his account like 3 weeks into the game and mixmaster is the biggest asshat this side of the universe. ( T hawat was a pimp )

What is it with all these people once the new year starts posting "I lost my implants threads and stories of the old days" ?
Quit going thru Mara/Pasari, Hagilur, PF-346, and other choke points if you can't afford to lose what you have.
The game's been out for a LONG time, and people STILL don't learn.
I guess it's a good time to be a pirate, isn't it?

Take the extra days to train the lvl5's, and enjoy life, in its natural form.

Very good reading. Struck several notes with me. I have 12mill SP right now and only owned 1 basic implant about 12 months ago. I remember how gutted i was when i lost it even though it was given to me by a mate. I vowed never to buy an implant and risk the loss again.
However, even with no implants i still find it impossible to bring myself to take risks. It took me 6 months to get my first BS (unlike these idiots flying 'free' bs's with 1 million sp's). It took me a further 3 months to replace that one when i lost it. So yes, losing your implants free's you from that risk, but, i see losing a ship worth 60million+ isk a huge risk too. All this from someone who intended to be a pirate!!
I must have just missed the isk machine's in escrow or something! Cause though making billions is an evil that could lead you to boredom, making the millions that allow you to have fun, for me anyway, is hard enough..

Gotta mostly agree on the Implants.
They are the anti-Christ to PvP 'IF' you let them control you (which many folks do).
I do let mine control me to a limited extent. In one case I flatly refused a suicide assignment (use a frigate to warp in a look at a massive blob that had 100+ drone deployed), but I willingly tried to warp scramble a BS latter. Turns out the BS had 2x MWDs and 2x+ large smart bombs. Got pod killed. I'll take risks even with a full set of implants, but I'll freely admit I'll refuse to commit suicide with them.
