Edited by: Paul Lebaue on 06/02/2005 18:47:16 So, who are we? What are Freelancers? What do we do?
WHAT DO WE DO?
Anything we want. We have only 3 rules, no scamming, no piracy, and no thievery. No freelancer controls the actions or methods of any other, and thats the way we like it here. We are a loose organization of friendly, free-spirited pilots, out for fun and profit, with the drive to do it ourselves, and the desire to share the adventure with like-minded compatriots.
If you want to do you own thing and go your own route, if you have the will and strength to blaze your own trail to glory, riches, and fame, you will find in Freelancing corp a group of highly individual pilots who share that drive and passion.
WHAT ARE FREELANCERS?
Freelancers are miners, production tycoons, bounty hunters, traders, corporate sponsored privateers, research and development heads, and explorers. We are seasoned veterans and fresh faced flight academy graduates. We come in every flavor, and our methods are just as diverse as our interests.
If you're the sort of person who likes to make their own choices, and demands the freedom to do so, you will find that freedom with us as a Freelancer.

Hmm could it be that the Lebaue's are the next big boyband to break through, heard some whispering about that in the dark corners of the bars i frequent.
rumor has it the first single should be a revival of an old old earth tune called "MmmBob"
now being a bit more serious, if the freelancers is as fun as the LeBaues then it's a blast to hang around there. Safe Flight Paul, and always remember to pick up loot after you kill the ship you try to loot ;)

Lol, those old recruitment threads are a good read. I can't believe how many people are and have been a member of our corp! I'm starting to feel old with my over 1-year membership. -> Speaking of which, I haven't received my 2005 membership-pass yet!
A bit more info about us: Since we all do whatever we want to do we're spread out all over the universe. Whereever you are there's a chance you'll see one of us!
There are no corp-restrictions to location, no forced mining events, not even a corp-tax. Every isk you make is yours to spend.
This also means that we won't put you in a cruiser or a bs if you join. If you want a bs you'll have to work for it and buy it yourself. Of course we're more then willing to help you with that and we've got some dedicated producers that are very willing to sell a ship to you . If you organize a mining night there sure will be other members joining in.
We're active in almost all timezones, although most members are European.
Join us in channel 'freelancing' if you want to have a chat with us.

I'm a month old Eve player and I've been a member of Freelancing Corp. for about a week. I was made to feel very welcome from the start. The Corp is very Noob friendly and filled with very knowlegdeable players of all types who are only too willing to lend a hand. I think it's a great corporation for those of an independent nature and want to make their own way in Eve.

Why join a group whom dictates what you are to be doing and taking parts of your earnings with the justification it will better the group as whole. When you can join a group whom let you enjoy most aspects of what Eve has to offer without tapping into your personal assets to better the group as whole as the group itself is independant and self sufficant for its needs.

After spending just two (count 'em!!) hours online last night chatting to people within the corp I can honestly say that afiner group of people I have never met online. While they had the ability to just give me what I wanted they didn't. They let me achive one of my personal goald without interference and then when I had achieved gave me all the help that they could to get the best bargains going.
Supportive, honest and respectful. There isn't any more that a player in Eve can ask for.
I just can't wait until I have the ISK to support others the same way.
Thank you.

Pilots whom just recently aquired their pilots license are welcome as well as long as they know or are willing to know how to follow the path of a freelancer. We are willing to help or guide you but do expect that you will strive to become self sufficant and self reliant in aquiring your goals and fortune. We are not like any of the regular structured groups or corps out there. We will not tell you what to do. If you need to be told what to do then our group is not for you. This is the Freedom we offer our members.

There are pilots out there whom like to teach new pilots the ropes and tricks of trade and like to dedicate some of their time to help guide and even tutor newer pilots. Allthough I have to say our group is blessed with people whom like to share the tricks to their trade I know for a fact that there does exists pilots whom dedicate most of their time doing so. These pilots are always a welcome addition to our group. We do get pilots whom join us and just newly aquired their pilot wings and thus usally seeks a mentor or tutor to show them the ropes.. Thus making pilots whom like to take this new pilots on as a student or pupil worth more then any rare rock out there.

But being the Freelancers we are there are no such things as 'duties'. It's more a thing of 'scratching each others backs'. Who says you need to join an alliance or a big corp to be able to mine the high end ore or hunt the high bounty NPC's? Why restrict youself to such an extent that you feel you cant do it unless your part of a corp or even an alliance?
Our group are based around a few rules. No Scamming, No Thievery and no Piracy. You are free to roam the space as you wish as long as it does not break any of those 3 rules. Our group consist of individuals with individual needs and goals but with the drive to strive for it on their own. Does this mean we we are restricted to work solo on each of our different projects? No it doesnt. As a matter of fact there are group events made or created either by planning or by spontaniuos urges by members in our group which every member are invited to join if they want to.
We have Manufacturers, Miners, Traders, Mission Runners, Reasearch Specialists, NPC Bounty Hunters, Explorers and even PvP pilots. We are not part of any alliances cause we feel it is to restricting for us and we feel that our structure would not allow us to fully commit ourselves. However we are a loyal group. our main loyalties which we feel is the only alliance we will ever have or want is the one within our group. but our loyalties also extends to our friends whom we work closely with and have close contact to.

Members in our group have the opportunity to have their own personal offices. Just to add that as a newish member of the Freelancers I would agree with all the positive comments that have been written above. The guys and girls in Freelancing are a great bunch of people as well as being extremely helpful and if you want to be in a corp but not have to worry to much about having to fulfill commitments etc. then this is the place to be. You have the freedom to do what you want or join up with your corp mates it is up to you, so do yourself a favour join the Freelancing corp today

I've been in this corp for a month now and they do exactly what they say on the tin. You go about your own business with the full support of some very experienced players. I am still a very small player - but with the assistance of these fine people I have come to be stronger, wiser, more wealthy and a freind.

Edited by: Paul Lebaue on 26/03/2005 12:21:23 If you are looking for stability in your eve life I think our corp's track record speaks for itself. I am the founder of this group and I plan on being around as a Freelancer of Freelancing Corp. Due to our nature and our structure Freelancing members manages to co-exsist with each other with no internal struggles, as me still as both "CEO" and founder should prove. For me to continue on and have the title of "CEO" (allthough in our group this is mainly honory) has so far never been an issue.
And as most of pirates in eve already knows I am a big carebear.

TBH thats exactly what most of us do anyway LOL, all we want from you is...errr..do we HAVE to want something from you? we dont as a rule but we could make an exception if it's important to you LOL
We have the 3 rules, thats it, nothing more, no taxes/orders/mining slaves, do what you want when you want for as long as you want, with peeps to chat with :)
If you want to sit at a rock reading a book, fine. Want to run around hauling & trading, fine. want to run missions, fine. want to keep every item you loot, every isk you earn, every agent reward you get, absoulutly!!! (Actualy Paul gets annoyed if you put money in the corp wallet, it messes up his maths)
Nothing really i can say, we are a bunch of space hippies really, doing our own thing :)
There is one thing, Freelancing is harder work than corp life, as you make your own game by your own rules, with a 'normal' corp, there is structure, things to do etc, in FLC if you don't decide to do something, you'll do nothing. Having said that, if FLC is the life for you (as it is for me) you will thrive, because all you do is for you, you'll get a lot
Feel free to pop by our public channel "Freelancing" for a chat if your interested

Thats a good point Logi3. There are no politics in this corp - only like minded fiends. Even if the only likeness is to agree to disagree

Your corp sounds interesting, but what's the advantage of being in this corp as opposed to an NPC corp?
Thanks in advance :)

Edited by: Armi Tage on 31/03/2005 09:57:35 Everything you can get from FLC you might also get in a NPC corp, but chances are way bigger in FLC and we are more reliable . Also it is more fun to have a smaller group of peeps to regularly talk to.
I liked my time in a NPC corp but I like my time in FLC even more. IMO FLC is just better in everything compared with an NPC corp.
And we are working on various events atm, something no NPC corp can supply afaik. Every opinion is heard no matter how long you are in the corp.
We are a group of likeminded peeps, the NPC corpies are just a collcetion of peeps but not really a group. It is the feeling to be a part of something that is missing in a NPC corp

Ok so as I was saying Channel Freelancing is always open for prospective members to come for a chat.
P.S. It seems if you don't change the default character then you accidently post with a character you created to check whether something had sold in Yulai or not!
