Is it still possible to get lvl5 missions in highsec even though the agents are in lowsec? Also, what kind of rewards can I expect, a lot of LP or a lot of isk?
Cheers

Yes. 70-75k LP. No. Suggestion: Remove the "new topic" button from everywhere apart from the list of topics section within a subforum.
That'd save those with chronic hand/eye coordination some face. |

How chill is doing L5s?
I did some L5s with 2 battleships. Though I've heard of a single battleship setup.
You have roaming gangs(pirates) just like farming Anoms in 0.0 right? So interruptions now and then.
All the isk is from selling faction mods on the market....can you sell regular mods on the market with the new patch? I think its just faction ships now.
Is a L5 mission running corp worth joining? or just go solo? I hate selling junk on the market..I'm not one of those market guys at all.
blah blah blah.
I wonder how this ranks versus farming anoms. I have a perfect skilled marauder pilot in his own corp for doing L4s for something easy/different. Never really did L5s in lowsec. ----------------------------------- They see me trollin... |

Anoms is steady Eddie, every tard can get a lot of isk doing them. L5's range from completely unprofitable to un****ingbelievable depending on your skills (game toon and RL person)

L5Ęs in Hi-sec is a great ideal. Has there been an explanation from CCP why L5 are only in Low-sec or 0.0? I
would like to get the whole experience of mission running without having to join a corporation or having to
befriend people for the purpose of doing a mission.

Why would you need to do either of those? Suggestion: Remove the "new topic" button from everywhere apart from the list of topics section within a subforum.

So, what do you fly when you do your L5?

You might want to try and google doing lvl Vs in a Tengu or stealthbombers or sniper ships. ^^ This is perfectly possible, just not on all missions and require some practice. On the other hand its solo.

Me and my friend has considered 2 different setups. Me flying a rattlesnake fitted for tanking and him flying a gank fitted raven.
or:
him flying a buffer tank fitted raven and me flying a RR domi.
how much damage should we expect?

I was dual boxing lvl vs in mach and domi. I was able to run 6 large armor reps, which is hard with shield reps. I think BS/domi setup is the best as you get a 500dps bonus from just having a logi. |

Edited by: Am Loh on 07/12/2010 17:43:25 50-70k lp depending on skills 3-6M isk from mission rewards/bonus Missions take about an hour solo, 40min dolo, 1000-2500 DPS, easily tankable with ishtard/nighthack + domi or scimi w. 4x reppers. (my domi has a tank to survive spawns)
With two toons its not hard to get highsec missions out of the lowsec agents.
I drop in ishtar take shot with civi gun drop 2x smalls if theres* frigate and sentries, warp in domi drop in throw on reps, drop sentries and afk.
Lot like c3 wormhole with no retargeting and less isk/h.
Honestly, just another boredom fest. Avoid the chain missions unless you can loose .6 standing to avoid lowsec missions or just drake/domi them for minimal risk. <3

Edited by: Zombie Jeebus on 08/12/2010 02:51:07 Yes some missions are still sent to hi sec though they claimed this was stopped. Honestly though.. the occasions that I do get a mission in hi sec it seems to be one of two or three particular ones that I usually skip anyway since they don't have a good time/reward ratio for me.
The pay is a lot of lp and not much 'direct' isk i.e. bounties. Most missions are against factions so the isk comes from the tags and, in some, loot. The missions against pirate factions have usual bounty amounts. Once you get good and converting lp to isk at a good ration.. the true payout is very nice.
As to the ship(s) used question.. if the mission isn't gated then I'll usually drop in a carrier if I'm feeling lazy, sometimes with a tengu or arty cane to pop smaller ships. On gated missions I run a tengu (active fit) with a basi for cap tx, and shield tx if needed, and switch it out for a second dps ship once all neut towers are dead.
EDIT: Posting while half asleep pwns my spelling >_<

Yes, risk versus reward.
I realy hate that Risk Versus reward crap. I blow people up in high sec and other people blow people up in high sec. High sec is not safe. I wish they would put 5's back in high sec so I can blow more people with pimp ride BS's up. Just sit at the high sec level 5's stations.
Is it a rock? Point a Lazer at it and profit. Is it a ship? Point a Lazer at it and profit. I dont realy see any differnces here. |
