petition altternate	Posted - 2010.12.02 15:21:00 - [1] i have done 25 missions now from the same agent and so far no storyline. is this intendet or is this a brand new bug that came with incursion ?

I see from our records that you have been declining a lot of your mission offers and this would most likely be the issue - when you decline an offer, the counter resets and you need to complete another 16 missions in a row to get the storyline. But i have never ever had any problems even though i decline a lot.

petition altternate	Posted - 2010.12.02 17:28:00 - [8] i have no idea i have never had any issues before. my friend had same issue the other day and wgen he petitioned it the gm told him that getting storylines was luckbased. ofcourse that is tottaly bull****. but my friend had to go on a vacation so he could not stay around and talk to mentally impaired gm's

If you are not trolling, that's diabolical. And thinking back, I do 5s in high sec only. And I've had L5 stories. I highly doubt that, since I'm more often than not rejecting them, I ever had a string of 16 high sec L5s that I accepted, which prompted the story. Something's not right here.

When that happened to me about 2 months ago GM answered me it's normal to do over 16 missions without getting a storyline. I reckon most GMs don't know isht about storyline mechanics and the only person who knows is the programmer who coded them (and maybe he doesn't know either). That would explain general lack of documentation and GM responses that contradict each other.
DeMichael Crimson Minmatar Republic University	Posted - 2010.12.03 00:54:00 - [12] Never had that problem, I've declined missions and still received storyline after completing 16 missions. Open character sheet - standings section - 'Liked by' tab - Faction and Corporation section. Right click and select 'Show Transactions' on the corporation to view a list of all missions completed for that corp. To see which mission was the last storyline completed for that Faction, r-click on the Faction and 'Show Transactions'. You can then see just exactly how many regular missions have been completed till your next storyline mission offer. The regular missions must all be from the same level of agent in the same Faction to count towards the 16 missions completed for the storyline offer.

Who Wozit	Posted - 2010.12.03 03:53:00 - [15] To be quite honest if the two responses posted here were actually from GM's, then the whole GM system is in serious need of over hauling since it is obvious that they have no understanding of the basic mechanics of how EVE Online works. The only faction that will not give a storyline is Interbus, simply because they have no storyline agents. Every other faction will give a storyline after running 16 missions of the same level for that faction, regardless of how many you decline. Since the OP stated that each of the missions were run for the same agent the only options available are that they were either run for Interbus (which means no storylines available), or that there is a bug that needs reporting.
petition altternate	Posted - 2010.12.03 13:17:00 - [16] The two responses are real. i have now escalated it thru the system and have been asked to make a bug report. we have used that agent and only that one. for a long time and we have never had any issues before the incursion patch. i did a storyline 2 days before the patch.

It is causing players running Level V missions to not receive any storyline offers. We've already fixed this internally, and are looking now at when we can get this out to TQ. Because this is creating quite a few issues at our end and yours, chances are that the fix will be incoming sooner rather than later. We'll keep you updated when we have more information about when exactly you can expect the fix. Oh, and storyline missions are not luck-based. They work exactly as people here are describing, and various documentation all over the place states: 16 missions in a row for the same faction and level agent will net you a storyline mission offer.

That doesn't seem to be completely accurate. I get storyline missions based on how many missions I run for a faction, not an agent/level. If I run 15 missions for a lvl 4, and then the 16th for a lvl 1 I get a lvl 1 storyline. I got a storyline mission from the rookie Epic Arc agent after 4 missions, having run some for the sisters level 4 agent previously.

I run Level5 missions, and going by wallet journals, i have completed 33 missions now since my last storyline mission. I have a petition open, and have recieved responces, however, the gm's that have responded seem to be unaware of this bug. When can we expect to see this rectified on live server? and will those that are 'owed' storyline missions at the moment, be issued with them once the issue is fixed? Thanks, matt

Agreed. Here's the thing: one of my former corpies swore he had heard this worked and when he tried it he found he heard right. I said, "Try it again, I wanna do that, too!" Long story short, it turns out he had had some L1s left over from ages ago and he was never able to replicate it. This was approx. 2 years ago.
