As a soon-to-be new Orca owner, these are the two main areas of info I've had trouble finding out.
One: fleet members and corp members can dock with a fleet/corp Orca while in space, correct?
Two: what happens when a fleet/corp member docks with someone else's Orca? Does the person docking a smaller ship have to go into a pod or another ship, or is there some kind of hangar like in a station? How is the ownership of ships in the hangar handled; is anything in there fair game or are the ships only available to their actual owners?

You don't really "dock" with the Orca. If they have access to the Orca's Ship Maintenance Array then they can store a ship here or take one out.
If they store a ship there, the ship will go into the Orca and they will be left in a pod. They can then "launch" or "board" a ship in the Orca.
If they "launch" the ship it will appear in space next to their pod and they can board it. If they "board" the ship it will appear in space with them in it.
The primary use of "launching" a ship, for me, is that as the orca pilot, if i don't want to give someone access to the array, like during a "pick up" mining op or mission running op, I can allow someone to switch their ship for one in my Orca by launching a ship from the array in to space and after they switch ships, scooping their old ship to the array.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, that's a good chunk of what I wanted to know.
That just leaves the question of ownership. How is that handled? Does the orca pilot gain ownership of anything that is in their hangar? If not, what happens when the orca itself docks with a station?

Sorry, posted as wrong character. That's me.

"Ownership" for ships isn't really a thing in EVE, you either fly it or you don't and if you store your ship in said orca you don't fly it so the pilot can do with it what he wants. Anyone else in the orca fleet, who has the skills for that ship, can board it from the orca (as long as the orca has allowed access to it's cargo holds).

Thanks. That's what I was guessing. Ownership really isn't the right word. Eve's definition of property is pretty loose. It's yours right up until it's in space without you at the helm.

Another little known fact. If you have pilots involved in mining and belt rats show up, they CANNOT store ship in Orca's SMA or hanger. One of my alts almost lost a retriever trying to dock for protection while 3 rats were beating on it. Kept getting msg about criminal activities or some such. Once the rats were dispatched, I could "dock" just fine. I find that moderatly annoying and actually bothersome. I shouldn't be denied for any reason to store a ship at any time in my Orca

Ships in any Ship Maintenance Array/Bay do not have any ownership. A ship in space can have ownership if boarded at least once.
If you eject a ship in a POS bubble, it will not have any ownership (shows as neutral on the overview), and will be ejected from the bubble after the next downtime.

That cannot be allowed, as then you could escape CONCORD. It was an old exploit to use an Orca for that.

Jean, another points, you have to grant access to the SMA for the pilots in your fleet. This setting (right click on the Orca and select settings or some such) is cleared each time you log out.
