- A lot of new players fail to set up a fleet correctly, because they start with a fleet commander and then only add squad members. When creating a fleet should the initial commander be a squad commander and not a fleet commander. Instead of changing the default can one also add a test for the existence of the required skills and make the highest, trained commander role the default.
- The menu option to cancel a market order sits just below the menu option for modifying a market order. The cancel option then does not ask back with a confirmation dialogue, but cancels the order immediately. This can lead to a situation where one tries to modify an order, and instead cancels it without a second chance. A confirmation dialogue for the cancelling of market orders would be nice.

Edited by: Whitehound on 29/01/2011 12:26:28 For the watchlist I wish:
- Mouse click on a fleet member on the watchlist selects the member's ship as if selected on the overview. - Ctrl+Click locks the fleet member's ship.
This allows for a better response by logistic pilots, who can react fast and direct to what is seen on their watchlist.
It also allows removing all fleet members from the overview while still being able to select them on the watchlist and helps to avoid mix-ups. ___
For the overview do I wish:
- Ctrl+Alt+Click to abort a locking attempt in progress.
This will allow to quickly undo any mix-ups on the overview and allows for a faster response. (May give an advantage over NPC ships however as they do not quickly change locks.) ___
For target icons:
- Ctrl+Click on the icon of an already locked target unlocks it.
One can unlock targets as easily as they have been locked. --

This seems to be the current behaviour.

Edited by: Whitehound on 11/02/2011 23:57:12 - Applying for a membership with an alliance as a corporation CEO should be easier than going over the full alliance rankings. Either by a right-click option when looking at the info to an alliance or by directly entering the alliance name in a box. Loading of the entire alliance rankings list seems a waste of resources and searching through this list is also not ideal.
- Alliance applications should be notified to the alliance in a similar way as with corporation member applications are being notified to the corporation CEO (mail notification). --

Edited by: Whitehound on 15/02/2011 14:11:15 I run a corporation for almost two years now and every time I get a rookie into my corp do I see them making the same mistakes. They ruin their standings in no time until someone tells them about the standings system.
What it needs is a warning message that tells players that they are about to accept a mission against another empire faction and what the consequences of this will be.
It needs some form of information that stops new players from accepting every mission that they are being offered. Many assume that the mission system means no harm and that they can run any mission with no consequence. It is a trap that almost every newcomers runs into and desperately needs to be addressed, even if it is just a little warning box with a few lines of text. --

- Create a keyboard shortcut to jump to the next blinking chat window. The keyboard shortcut would only work on windows that are set to blink and when pressed raises it a blinking chat window to the front. Why is this useful? In times when the chatter is high does one still need to be reachable without having to click through each chat window to see who is talking and to whom. Such a keyboard shortcut will allow one to quickly browse through several chat windows without moving the mouse and thereby helps to ascertain the information provided on multiple chats more quickly. --
