Edited by: MotherMoon on 04/12/2010 21:52:21 So I've been gone for like a year, you know just came back to look at the new features, and wait for the new forum (it's true ) and while I was on SiSi with my 10 million sp to put whever I want. (woot) I was thinking... whats the fastest Tech3 ship I can make?
Let me explain I used to be one of those vagabond crazy people, even though I did agree with the "nerf" since I knew it was overpowered.
But anyways I was EFTing it up and saw that 3 of the "new" Loki bonuses are
1.Afterburner speed bonus 2.Powergrid bonus 3.Sig radius reducion
OK, WOAH, so I got to fitting and here is what I came up with.
no rigs tech2 fit 75m Sig radius 1679m/s With an afterburner 100MN double web tracking disruptor 30,000 effective EHP with mods
And I can still fit a full rack of guns and 3 gyros.
OH MY GOD, this is awesome! And I've not even using a faction Afterburner (couldn't find in EFT)
This is silly, half the size of a cruiser, that moves at 2400m/s when overloading.
Anyways discuss, i thought nano was dead. :P

Yes, wellà
Now try turning. Hell, try going in a straight line. You'll notice some problems with this fairly quicklyà
hmmmmm 10 million sp .... *goes off to test server to play with missile fit. |

hmmm I wonder how this fit would work out with the agility bonuses instead...
maybe there is a way to get enough agility bonuses to compensate?

True, but also irrelevant if done right.
gets to work
also no one seems to be commenting on the fact that a cruiser with 75m sig radius and the dps of the hurricane (250m sig radius) is nuts.
75m is almost half of the sig radius of a medium auto cannon, that's a 50% chance to dodge weapons of your class while standing still.

Tracking doesn't work like that, see http://wiki.eve-id.net/Tracking. You'll notice that sig radius and tracking have same effect on your probability to hit target, and that should transversal velocity be zero, they won't have any effect on your to-hit-probability.
ahh the eve tracking guide threw me off.
so having half of the sig as the gun shooting at you would mean the effective radians/second is doubled?
since it would be radians (transversal/range) times .5
Ok well it's still awesome :P

Sorry but its not really that great unless you have a huge wallet. There are plenty of nice fits for people with big wallets.
we're talking about Tech 3 cruisers....
Speaking of which, I think the loki as a missle 1600m/s ship might be even better than a tengu due to the web bonus.
yes? no?
