Hello All,
I've noticed many times Wormhole constellations on dotlan and staticmaper. What exactly does this mean? Am I wrong in thinking if a WH has a c4 static, it could hypothetically connect to ANY c4 when it respawns or does it pick one from its constellation or region.

I'm pretty sure that each system is linked to a set of constellations in W-Space, and systems with static Highsecs connect to a set of constellations in Kspace. Just a gut feeling from chain collapsing wormholes.

You're right on, a C4 with a C4 static will connect to any random C4. When i lived in w-space it was on rare occasions we got a direct connection within the same constellation/region. Sometimes following a chain of X877's took me back into the same constellation/region, but that was even more rare.

wspace and k-to-k wh's seem pretty consistent to me a static will open to one of a few regions and k-to-k wh's do the same thing if I go in a kspace wh in placid/gallente losec im prob coming out around domain/amarrian losec I wonder if it's a faction war boosting thing

ty for the responses, but there is another question I am asking
If you go to dotlan you see that each w-space is in a contellation, and so does staticmapper
these regions and constellations are NOT the k-space ones, so is there any purpose for the grouping?

I have seen it said that mayhaps constellations of wormholes share the spawning signatures amongst them. You finish off a grav site in yours, it spawns again amongst the constellation. It's just one of the theories about signature respawning. I haven't seen any other explanation for constellations.

All other solar systems in the game have a region/constellation assigned to them, it's probably easier to just group w-space systems the same way?

All the J numbers in a constellation share the same type of static exit. And this goes for most regions to except R30 and R 24.

Thought that was for region.
