BTW, the regenerative platings are trimarks for low slots minus the speed penalty but stacking penalized instead. They got 1600mm RTs beaten as soon as you have more than 28k raw armor HP (before plates and trimarks). They are nice on capitals.
After remembering they existed, I did a fair amount of EFTwarrioring on them, seeing if they might be good for armor HACS or something since they don't reduce speed, but I never found an instance where they would be more beneficial than more resists, even on things like the Aeon or Avatar, with massive ammounts of armor to increase.

BTW: capacitor batteries aren't quite useless. (I found a use for a small meta3 one on a Retriever that had an open med and not enough cap to warp across large systems in one go)

They're far from useless for active armor tanked PVE ships. If I have the PG they tend to work out better than an additional cap-recharger.

when it comes down to usless mods i think the regenerative plating tops them all as its rubbish armour plates are much better module for giving you more armour hp. also in the description it sounds like it gives you a passive armour regenation like what shields get naturally, hell even the name sounds like it does. as things are atm all thise regenerate plating modules are a joke to armour tanking. if they gave a passive armour regeneration that would make them useful as well as some more extra hp.
let me know your opinion on this

What about the most useless rig of all, on each size?
Core Defence Charge Economizer I
Theres no case in which it helps more then an Ancillary Router I.

Have you ever found an armor plate correctly sized for an Aeon? (which is the one ship I know of that fits a regenerative membrane, and that's because a third EANM would take you 4-deep into stacking penalties)

Really good to make Orcas harder to gank in high sec.

Takes less calibration than the router. This lets you fit it in conjunction with other T2 rigs.
Cap batteries are pretty awesome on cruiser-sized ships which can actually spare the PG/CPU for a large one.
