Originally by: Mina O'Bane this is garbage, of all the cities in texas that you choose, none of them are dallas, houston, or austin, all of it is crap tiny redneck cities.
Couldn't agree more. You'd get more bang for your buck in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex (cities of Dallas, Plano, Addison, Carrolton, Farmers Branch, Fort Worth) than you're ever going to get in the little podunk cities listed for Texas.
Either way I'm still excited and will likely be traveling to whicever theater I decide is closer to me. Now it's time to go poke my CEO and explain to him in an excited girly voice using a chipmunk accelerator that we need to do a road trip for this.
Edit I looked through the list again and the only city in Texas I see any remote possibility of a response worth the investment of your icelandic ISK is Frisco.. Will update with some suggested theaters soon.
The theaters that should have the best response in terms of density of nerds in the north dallas suburban area will likely be the Stonebriar mall location in Frisco (listed), and Cinemark Legacy on north central expressway in Plano. (not listed). the cinemark theater in allen has always had a barren parking lot when I drive past it, certainly not packed like cinemark legacy, and stonebriar. One more good bet would be the Cinemark Tinseltown on the North Dallas Tollway in Plano. (again, not listed).
and as for these theaters being in "tiny redneck cities", none of which being Dallas, Houston, or Austin, check your map, man. considering the small number of theaters even showing this, and further considering that some states are omitted completely, im pretty sure the suburbs of Dallas, and Houston count. What more do you want? For it to be right next door?
Cinemark Allen 15 in Allen - never seen this one busy, but not a redneck city, will be bypassed to go to stonebriar I think (right down the road - 5-10 minutes tops)
Movies 14 in McKinney - Far north Dallas suburb, with lots of money - not a redneck town but yeah, out of the way
Stonebriar 24 with IMAX in Frisco - The biggest mall in the north dallas area
Tinseltown Movies 17 in grapevine - In Between Dallas and Fort Worth
Cinemark 13 Cypress in Cypress - Map says northwestern Houston suburb
Cinemark 19 in Katy - west houston suburb Cinemark at Market Street in Spring - north houston suburb Katy Mills 20 in Katy - west houston suburb
links to the two theaters in Plano that I suggested Cinemark Legacy Cinemark Tinseltown West Plano
Yea, I'm not getting the complaints here (atleast for dallas). 4 of those theaters are in the DFW area... But like I said previously, I dont think movies 14 was such a great choice, because alot of people from Mckinney go to the much nicer theater in Allen which sits right on the city limit with Mckinney; especially for a big movie like tron.
