The Icelandic Yule Lads have managed to get hooked up with internet access and may be visiting a Fansite, forum or social network page that you frequent soon. Intelligence reports indicate that they will operate from Sunday, December 12 through to Friday, December 24. Luckily, we have a way of tracking them down and disabling internet access with help from a CONCORD hit squad, but we will need your help.
On the run up to Christmas we need you to find posts on forums, comments on news articles on media sites or social networking replies by these mischief makers and let us know about them. You will need to be vigilant on your favorite sites and be quick to react.
In order to win we need you to find posts from the Yule Lads, who are listed in the link above, then link the post or comment to this thread. The first player each day to find a post, comment or social networking message will win the prize for that day so you need to keep your eyes open!
So your mission, Capsuleers, is to find these pesky Yule Lads on the dates provided to win the prizes below:

Rules.
1, The first player to respond in this thread by linking to the Yule Lads post in question wins the prize for that day. Please note that we have pre-planned which Yule Lad posts on which date and on which site so scamming will not be possible.
2, Only posts made in this forum thread are eligible to win prizes.
3, Prizes are non-transferable. Only the prize listed for that day will be awarded and no alternative offered.
4, All EVE Store Credits will come with shipping included so you can spend the full value on items you want.
5, We will contact the winner each day by e-mail with details of their prize. Please note that we will use the e-mail address which is registered to your EVE account to get in touch with you so please ensure that your e-mail is updated.

Reserving posts won't actually work, but nice try. It's not exactly in the holiday spirit to try to cheat, but it wouldn't be EVE without it.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to pop by and answer a few questions that have come up in this thread.
Q1: Why are you not doing this on the eveonline.com website only?
A1: Community work very closely with our fansites during the year and we try to run as many competitions and giveaways with them as we can. Most of these sites are run by players on their own time, for no remuneration, and the great quality work from many of these fansites is outstanding. We are privileged to have such an amazing amount of brilliant EVE Online fansites, blogs, tools and forums.
Q2: I found a post from a Yule Lad but I did not win a prize. How come?
A2: Unfortunately some people will create duplicate Yule Lads and post on other forums for giggles. While I appreciate that this can cause frustration, the Community team have a planned list of which lad is posting, on which site and with a certain pre-arranged text. This is to ensure that the correct person wins on each day.
Q3: I don't think it is fair that I need to register at a lot of different sites to be able to win. Why are you doing this to me?
A3: There is no need to register on most sites as you will have read access on the vast majority of them. Chances are many players will be registered on more than one site but all you need to do is link back here so registering is unnecessary.

You know... I'm on Disability and my wife is unemployed due to the economy so things haven't really been to up around here this Christmas. This sentence does not make sense to me.
If there's a pre-planned list it can leak in advance, opening a window of opportunity for scammers.
The only people with the planned schedule of posts are members of the Community team. I am pretty condfident that no one is leaking anything

While I appreciate that rules are rules, and that the post was edited, it took 4-5 minutes from the time I posted the comment until the reply was made. I initially saw that the link was not hyperlinked so by the time i copy/pasted to check that it was genuine, the player had simply hyperlinked what was already there.

It would appear that Master Hur=askellir is such a mischief maker that he was too busy slamming doors to actually make a post! This has been rectified and he has made an appeareance somewhere now. I am extremely saddened to report that, as strange as it may seem, some places on the Internet do not take well to the Icelandic language - or rather certain letters from its alphabet. Fortunately, Master Gattathefur was not offended by this slight and, instead of leaving the Internet altogether, assumed a nom de guerre "Gttaefur".
