Aldor	Posted - 2010.12.10 22:46:00 - [1] Your wife tells you that you have to quit this awesome games because "you spend to much time on this money wasting game" You've got about 500 million in liquid ISK and about another 1.5-2.0 billion in BPO's, ships, mins, etc... What do you do? Sell all you own and go down in a PVP blaze of glory? Buy an officer fit Marauder and take it into Syndicate alone with no scout? Ruin the market for some t2 module for a week? Give it to the first newb you find? What would you do?

I guess I am lucky though...my wife is a gamer too. But I never tell her she cannot do one of her hobbies and she doesn't tell me I can't do mine. Paintball is more expensive than my gaming as well is my Jeep and she doesn't mind any of them. Now if you are spending too much time playing EvE and not enough time with family and doing regular day to day stuff then maybe she has a point...but I still wouldn't quit. Just cut back a bit. I would create a graph detailing all this and have a powerpoint presentation, friends invited, of course. Next I would be sure to ice up my severed ***** before rushing to hospital.

I wouldn't say I play "too much" but it could be my 3 accounts that seem excessive to an outsider. And I use 3 characters to run PI to run the towers. But with the time spent to PI, fuel towers, install jobs, run goods to market, etc I probably only spent about 3-4 hours a day on the game. This whole conversation came up when we were driving home last weekend from taking our little one to see Santa and I mentioned that I forgot to fuel the POS and had to do that before the end of the day and subsequently she made the comment. But I probably will do the majority of advice and just tone it down. Stop 2 accounts for now, run one small POS, buy the fuel rather than using PI. I've always learned happy wife = happy life.. :) Edit: Besides the question was mostly rhetorical.. :)
