Edited by: Diesel47 on 13/12/2010 04:45:16 Where can I find the different EvE killboard software if I wanted to host my own killboard? Thanks for the help, there doesn't seem to be much info about it.

Edited by: BeanBagKing on 13/12/2010 09:36:12 While I agree you probably didn't search very hard, Johnathan Roark's post wasn't the least bit helpful either as it's the 5th result down on the second page. All the results up to there are either alliance killboards or killboard hosting services, not the software. Way to fail at being a douch there Johnny boy....

That link should be what you are looking for, the EDK (Eve Dev Killboard) software, which is what most sites use for their killboards. The only other ones I know of out there are GreifWatch and Battleclinic, and afaik both those are closed source private software. EDK is free/open source. Goodluck

Of course if you did go to any of those you could have clicked on the EVE-Dev link that appears at the bottom of nearly every page and it would have shown you how to get there too -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API.

And certainly doesnt have all the nice features that griefwatch or the eve id killboards have.
If you were gonna use that one then you need to be a decent php dev and if you are reading this you have reached the signature without noticing. |

The 4th link (was 3rd when I searched) is an evepedia which explains everything he wanted to know.

I do not mind helping people find what they are looking for as long as they made an effort and show that they actually made some effort. About every alliance/corporation that even thinks about pvping has the same killboard, which is linked in the about page on all of them. Even you EVSCO hosted killboards link back to EVE-Dev. Also, there is a thread labeled "EVE Killboard" on the next page that links to eve-id.net as well.

Hi,
I've posted a couple of video's on YouTube giving a step-by-step guide on using an EDK Killboard, version EDK 3.1.5 which is current with the Incursion release.
The first video deals with the website preperation and checking your PHP setup can run the Killboard and where to find the latest EDK to download.
View this at Killboard Installation Guide - Part 1
The second deals with the actual installation of the Killboard and goes through each screen of the setup process, through to the admin and making minor changes to the appearance of the Killboard.
View this at Killboard Installation Guide - Part 2
There will be a third that deals with the configuration of the Killboard and automating the retrieval of kill data, setting up CRON jobs and the like - after the holidays.
There is an accompanying pdf file available to download from our website - see the video for details.
Hope this helps.. ________ AGANKAN
