Galavet just realised he got pwned and was wrong :( the lst week has seen BoB fleets come down, we make them run, then htey come back with bigger one each time, and then get chased off or log as the other night, so less of the excuses please rkk...i thought u were better than that.

if little lag in the fights, could we presume lag is now almost dead?
anyone get fraps? movies r good, and im getting bored of the ones i have

As DB Preacher said in another thread, we have yet to make work of FE and their newfound friends. You'll notice when we do.
Btw, loot is mostly moved using industrials (at least eh amounts we get does), and into empire.

In the first engagement where we warped in on ex-CA the lag was absolutly horribly awful and most of the 100-150 who was there couldnt do ****. It took several minutes to lock and fire, warping out - forget about it, several minutes there aswell.
In the second engagement where we jumped in, battle was slightly less people, the lag was close to none. It was awsome and practicly lag-free for most during 1˘-2hrs non-stop fighting.
In engagement #1 ex-CA were sitting with a billion drones out.
In fight #2 nobody ever launched a single drone, i'm pretty sure of that.
Maybe we found a source atleast..

Drones are slightly better than they used to be but they seem to be counted as much as an individual PC ship when you consider they've now been given even more attributes (tracking, speed changes, orbiting calcs, resistances for individual drones etc) which all add to the information being passed back and forth between server and client.

I never said actual losses and kills, as i don't have any proof to back up any number i'd come up with.

We never said we lost 4 we said we lost between 6-10. And as no one from the other side its going WTFTHATSAPILEOFCRAP i would say these numbers are pretty accurate
Also people like to know who won the battles.

I was in both large battles last night. The laggy one and the unlaggy one. I've never had so much fun in eve before.
I won't bore you all with the details, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved. It's good to see accurate numbers posted in this thread by both sides and no smack talk in local.
Thanks to you all (even the guys that finally killed my apoc in 4C as I attempted to get home this morning)

A battle just took place between a very small FA force (2BS, 2 assault frigs, 2 interceptors) against a xCA force in a branch of the NORAD region.
The first wave of xCA: 1 geddon and 1 apoc were destroyed including one pod with no losses sustained to the FA fleet.
The second wave: 2 apocs, 1 runs and the other dies with still no losses to FA forces.
The third wave: 1 mega 1 apoc 2 ravens 1 taranis a cov ops frig a vigil and a thorax... thorax and vigil die, taranis sustains hvy dmg and leaves the area megathron sustains catastrophic(spelling) and the new apoc recieves serious damage.
EDIT: I just recieved information that the mega and apoc did fall in the 3rd wave. TY
FA fleet at this time sustains moderate damage: 1 raven with moderate damage, crow is lost as well as the enyo both pilots warp away safely.
The FA fleet at this time has disengaged due to food needs and being vastly outnumbered(logs off)

The Battle was awesome.
There was nearly no lag. (closed all channels, turned sound off, filtered OV).
Once again Kudos to the xCA guys who held the ground in the end. You fought us outnumbered and won once again.
A FA ganking-squad got 7 xCA BS postbattle at least, when they tried to get to your POS.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming battles :)

The simple way to judge who won the battle was which side held the field and collected all the loot. By this criteria xCA won the battle. In all honesty, it was an amazing feat. Our gang had 40 in it when FA's 70 jumped in and though we were gradually reinforced as time went on, it was still amazing to see us hold our own against such numbers. I must commend FA though who fought excellently and thank them for a brilliant fight. Full of strategic maneuvers and tactical attacks, it was definitely the best battle I've had in Eve, and I've been in many.

Indeed, what certainly gripped me about this conflict was the strong usuage of tactics. You see with no lag it wasn't just a case of calling targets and waiting for them to warp out or for you to warp out.
Gotta commend both commanders on this. Reminded me of a game of starcraft :p

If it was anything like as fun as the JQA battles, or the previous fleet battles with norad/fa last week then I'm extra gutted..
Hope I'm around when the next one kicks off, I'm sure there are many more fleet battles to come, so all is not lost :)
GG to all who fought, sounds like fun, and breaking off the first battle sounds like the best thing both sides could have done if the lag is as I've heard.. otherwise this post would have been both sides complaining about lag rather than complementing each other on a good 2nd fight.
CCP are getting there with lag but arn't there yet... All things improve with time though :)

He was on my only vigil death mail. I had about 6 different people doing damage to me and about 6 more with all misses in my log when I warped my 20mil inty out with 12% struct in the first 60 seconds of the battle.
