Caldari Condor ftw.... but seriously, most of what the op said was true regarding the strength and weaknesses of the races with the exception of the skill intensive nature of Minnie boats, you really don't have to sheild AND armor tank, there are plenty of boats that do either, in my experience they don't use drones anymore than Caldari or Amarr do, admittedly their hardpoints sort of demand more than one weapon type so I guess gun and missile skills are somewhat necessary. Sub par tanks on ships designed to speed tank is pretty much a non-issue, which brings me to the crux of why everyone wants to fly minnie ships. The only real measuring stick we use on these forums is solo -pvp and in that kind of a conflict speed is king, being able to control range and gtfo if things go bad is more important than any other single aspect provided you have the DPS to break their tank, if you can't break their tank you're just wasting your time and theirs and thats cool too, because when you've had your fun you can still gtfo. So Minmatar, maybe not Eve as a whole on easy mode, but definitely pvp easy mode.

yet it's used on fleet ops so much they pushed battleships aside.
problem of the drake is not just great damage nor great tank.
problem of the drake is the effectiveness achieved at a much lower SP level than practically anything else above or below it's class, combined with a low production price.
so yeah, you get a 30-40mil BC that can achieve a cost/effectiveness ratio way above even HAC's or tier3 BS'es.

I have to say that I can fly every race but am mainly skilled for Caldari and TBH having recently moved to null sec it's proved to be an embarassment.
Simply put the Caldari ships in most cases are PvE ships, designed to slowly munch their way through targets with little or no semblence of intelegence, as a result of which they are very limited.
Yes the drake is a good boat especially for lower SP characters but it lacks sufficient DPS in most one on one encounters in PvP. The drakes strength lies in fleets the drake BLOB is demonic given teh alpha/Range/ROF Combination but they are like Rats...On it's own it's just a rat, in sufficient numbers it's an infestation and it more than any other ship IMHO represents it's strengths.
The drake is a one trick pony, favoured because it is cheap and effective at simple tasks.
I guess my point is that saying Caldari is Easy is utter nonsense, the point made earlier regarding Caldari ECM = Primary is sooooooooooo true, I have been primaried in every single fight I have ever been part of when in an ECM ship and I know that FC's keep an ever-watchfull eye for them showing up in fights.
In generel the Caldari Race should be re-named to "Nerf" (Plus for extra geek points we could call one another "Nerf Herders") because they can either tank well and have **** poor DPS or they get moderate DPS and a **** poor tank, they use missiles but none of the ships have TP bonuses WTF...some good logic there.
As a previous post points out if you can win at Caldari you can win with anything.
Caldari = Eve on Hardest (In PvP)
Caldari = Eve on Easiest (in PvE)

Idk why you kids hate on the drake so much, Im only minmatar skilled and 1v1 a drake will still kick my hurricanes hull in any day of the week, with a pilot half my age.
Commence making fun of my fits / horrible ability at pvp / mother NOW

Can fly all the races , but my condolences go out to all the hybrid users out there in EvE . I don't know how you guys manage to fly with them . They are just so incredibly terrible.
