Hello. I would like to know wich is more suitable at small to medium sized fleets (roams). I have both Caldari and Amarr cruiser at 5. Thank you for all your tips! _______________________________________ I believe I can be considered one of the MOST EPIC people of ALL TIMES! |

Phantasm - better resists and buffer, slower, less range, cheaper, some utility to defend vs tacklers. Zealot - bad resists and buffer, faster, 2x better range, no defence vs tacklers.
Depends. If there are mostly nano ships in your gang, id go with zealot, because its bad idea to be slowest in gang. If there are slower ships too, phantasm can do. Also depends at what range is your gang engaging, how much tackle do you have, if you have logis etc. Problem is, that if you can do with phantasm, youd probably do good/better in shield harbi or cane...

Thinking if shield zealots here? Everyone flow them with armor logis nowadays... There are no macrominers in EVE |

Phantasm is fun to fly, cheaper and works better in shield gangs.
Zealot is fun to fly but more expensive and not so good with shield gangs but works well in armour gangs.

If both are fit with beams and you have a logi for the respective buffer type, the Phantasm will offer greater flexibility against a variety of targets, but the Zealot will do more damage at the farther ranges.
If you have dedicated tacklers, I would highly suggest a buffer-fit 3x LSE 2x Invuln 1x AB/MWD Phantasm as a DPS ship, with more versatile fits for other things.
The only reason I would select a Phantasm over a Zealot is for it's dronebay and usefulness at shorter ranges when beam fit. ---------
I am here to inform, no more, no less. |
