Why do anti-pirates get so upset about pirating?

Miss Typo	Posted - 2010.12.15 14:07:00 - [1] I notice that most true low-sec pirates don't care who they kill or where they roam and they go about there day having fun and doing the usual pew pew and logistics runs. Then their are anti-pirates that get so upset at the slightest mention of a pirate player... Why are anti-pirates such babies?

They also tend to not engage unless the fight is beyond a sure thing. I'd honestly rather deal with an Eve Uni blob over a pack of anti-pirates.
Miss Typo	Posted - 2010.12.15 14:12:00 - [5] EVE-Uni may have blobs but I have seen it be 3 to 1 odds in EVE-Uni's favor and they will still lose the fight (Happened last weekend) We killed 20 of them to 5 of us before they ran away...

Wouldnt say eve-uni is anti pirate...and they's allways blobin! and yea a load peeps still blob but tbh lowsec is just turning to gangs/blob wars it sucks, still a few of us who fly solo though

TriadSte Gallente	Posted - 2010.12.15 14:19:00 - [10] From a pure carebear point of view its easy to have a kind of dislike even a hatred if you like about pirates. New players generally enter the game and go do the normal thing of missions or mining or something of that nature and when they're asked to go into lowsec to drop off some garbage cans they're killed and possibly podded. This is where the dislike begins. I used to be quite a hardcore carebear and am now living in W-space and loving it, it teaches such a different way to play the game and has taught me alot about lowsec and how to fly properly outside of high sec. Its actually alot of fun alot more than empire will ever be and now see that high sec wardecs are actually pretty funny and mean nothing. High sec players are kind of wrapped in cotton wool, a diluted version of EVE. It takes time for players to adjust and want more from EVE like myself. I say dont be hating on high sec bears but more see it from there point of view and blame CCP for not making low and null accessible to a newer player.

They are wanting to fight and looking to fight. Anti's just have a stick so far up their ass it almost makes it no fun. And yes we odd solo types of pirates tend to be a breed of our own.

But the idea of someone in this game who is prepared to put with that, like CVA, makes a welcome change and a place where noobs can learn the 0.0 ropes in a safeish environment and provide ample targets for people who want to go roaming and kill noobs and then claim they are leet PvPers like U'K/B'K.

There are plenty of "smacktard" pirate groups out there, as well as Anti-Pirate, and mostly non affiliated types. (It's that third group that is the majority of those that smack and scream in local) While I am in an-anti pirate type of alliance, we do not allow, tolerate or condone smacking in local to any degree. Painting any one entire group or play style with such a broad of a brush like you are doing however, in highly inaccurate, and mainly trolling tbh.

Sorry, I actually disagree. I think pirates do have to work, and often quite hard too. I like alot of pirates, many of them are quite good folks realy (Waves at Veto). There is a difference between real pirates, and just groups that sit at gates to high sec ganking haulers all day. Pirates = Cool game style. Gankers = ****ers. (usually)

Very rarely were the "Pirates" podding, We left that to M00. Make a donation to the one-eyed and peg-legged children's fund, and off you go.. Now pirating is all about ganking. It's a shame really..
