The Scorp, along with most other ECM boats, do not get primaried because of their DPS/tanking/RR potential. They don't really have any. What they DO have is the ability to negate the DPS/RR/Ewar of multiple enemy ships. The Scorpion may not be killing anything but, as they say in soccer (football for you Euro's ) stopping an opponent's goal is as good as scoring one yourself. In the end, one Scorpion can remove X ships from a fight, usually around 2 or 3 if the pilot isn't a complete moron. It lets smaller fleets take on bigger fleets AND WIN. That, OP, is why it gets primaried. PS: multispec racks are for noobs PPS: the scorpion is one of the least expensive BS in EVE PPPS: Caldari gank with torp Ravens

My Effective hit points are not 45k, but rather 90k. You need to be in a Remote Repair Armor gang though. If you are not in such a gang (or in a gang consisting primarily of armor tankers, leave this thing at home and fly like a Blackbird or something). This fit is not obvious unless someone told you about it, because Caldari are usually thought of as shield tankers. rather than armor tankers. I don't know what ImmutableDark was thinking when he was assembling the Scorpion he was ganked in on 06/17/2010. But it looks like what he really wants is a Raven.

I use a similar fitting, except I have been known occasionally to fit heavy neuts when capitol reps are available. It's also handy to learn how to spidertank.

If you're going to be jumping into hostile camps with a Scorp, you're better off going with the armour fit. I don't see a Scorp really being able to pull range close in. Better to warp off if possible and back in at range, no?
Tekitha Gallente Shadows Of The Federation	Posted - 2011.01.24 00:19:00 - [59] there are 3 types of scorpion (or ECM in general) pilots in eve 1) The clueless pilot - comes rolling in in his untanked scorp, burns into torp / web / point range and tries to jam stuffs with his multispecs ... obviously dies horribly and ends up on the forums crying. 2) The knowledgable pilot - knows how to fit any fly his scorpion, comes in at a decent range and jams stuff for a while but lacks the skills to actually keep himself alive ... eventually dies. 3) The skilled pilot - has bookmarks on all gates in his areas of operation, warps in to fights at the right time in the right place, jams stuff, gets himself TFO when things get a little too dicey, gets himself back in at a different spot and continue's disrupting the enemy fleet for an entire fight ... Generally keeps his ship from one day to the next. I'm pretty sure I know which category ID falls into. Also, the armor tanked scorp in a gang with logistics is fantastic as long as all guardians have it pre locked and ready to rep from the start, some1 linked the fit above, personally I'd go with 1 plate and 2 EANM's to make the logistics pilots life a little easier ... But it is a very effective addition to any BS + logi fleet. Don't believe the hype!
