Edited by: Cabadrin on 18/01/2005 17:05:33 I'm sorry to hear this, Cyvok. As a former director of THEMM, I can emphasize with you about security in a huge corporation. Balancing trust with corporate responsibilities is a huge part of managing an effective EVE corporation. Unfortunately, when your corporation exceeds 100+ members (and in our cases, 450+ members) security becomes a full-time job, and it's almost inevitable that spies, alts, and thieves slip through.
In THEMM we only had this happen twice. The first time, it was because someone used our CEO's password to enter her account and clean out our hangers. Fortunately, the GMs cleared that up and we were able to retrieve our items. The second was right before dissolution, when a disgruntled pilot cleaned out our public hangers - not a big blow to the corp funds, but it still stung.
Keep on working to make your corporation a safe, fun, and enjoyable place to play EVE. If you need reliable pilots to hunt whoever it is down, remember BDCI and Sharks. -----------------------------------------------

It.. it happened to me also.. I.. I don't know what to say. I mean, I TRUSTED HIM! I don't know what happened.. we were friends.. Then just one day he runs off with the rifter and all the damage controlers and all the small nuclear projectile ammo. If I ever find him again.. I don't know if I'll have the heart to see him ever again.*Sniffle sob sob*

As suggestion I would have your corp members look into the hangers of your corp members who had access. 123 members who have access to your hanger, should take a few people very long to find any remaining frigates, or cruisers.
You could also have a look at the sell orders at the stations you had offices, and buy the odd unit or two to check the sellers. Nothing to see here .... move along. |

CLS weren't whining to CCP at all. And some things, even if they are not exactly cheating, can still be lame.
Like your posts in this thread, for example. ------------------------------------------- "My main griveance with the Caldari state was that once I had finished my work for them, they wanted me dead."

Quite ironic that a game which focus's on teamplay/co-operation/trust so often leads to this kind of theft Sad truth of it is you can never truly trust online assoicates unless you know them in RL, or know where they live
Market scamming, escrow scamming, ore and loot theft is all aviodable and imo has a place in the game. However the kind of person who spends X amount of months building up trust within a corparation only to rip them off this way is lame to say the least.
If i was in CLS i'd just be glad this particular theif (using theif loosly, perhaps gradma's purse snatcher would be better) has next to no intelligence and lacks the ability to see beyond his nose. I mean 200mil from a whole corparation, lol im sure he could have made alot more than that just selling info to your nme's.
Im sure if eve had a "eve's dumbest criminals" list, he would appear quite close to the top
Dominix = 70,000 isk. Apocaylpse = 115,000 isk. The resulting smacktalk = Priceless. |

Corptheft is sucky... as a CEO I take pride to protect corp assets, and luckily we are a small corp so that makes it pretty easy.
In my corp only one is not from my hometown, and I trust him have been playing with him from the very beginning I started playing eve, he have helped me very much up the game and have never showed interest in wealth.
Oh well... hard to find him I am sure of, hope he is not one disposable alt... those suck big time.

Another thing... to protect BPO's I use to copy them and have the BPO's in a safe place.. .and leave the copies for members.
