1) It is possible to passive tank a raven good enough for level 4 missions? After flying a million level 3's in a Drake, yeah, I got lazy.
2) Is there any benefit to using Torps over Cruise?

1. No 2. Torps have alot more damage to them but lack range, also TP's are pretty much a must so there goes your mid slots.

The Nighthawk is kinda like a souped-up Drake. Look into that, if you want a passive tanked ship for lvl 4 missions.
(Or the Rattlesnake, but that has even heavier skill prerequisites than the NH.)

1) Yes, it's technically possible. 2) Yes, for specific tasks in specific missions, not in any allround sense of the word, no. Parrots, commence!

I'm sorry for hijacking this thread but why mi nighthawk (6x hml t2, 2x bcs t2, 2 CCC rigs) makes more damage to BS rat in mission (6x cruise t2, 2x bcs, 3x ccc rigs)? Both ships are active tanked and are pretty old - over 1 and half year I wasn't playing.

1. No. I've tried several different ways but you'll never get a decent passive tank with a Raven. Rattlesnake is what you want if you're going for passive, and while it does take some time to train I think it's faster then getting a Nighthawk.
2. Torps are higher damage but much, much shorter range. You'll need to have some speed to employ them properly. I'm going for Cruise T2's and getting the higher damage, shorter range vesions. They have baseline torpedo damage with 100+km range and don't require a TP for BS engagements.
If you are determined to get a torpedo boat you should check out a Golem. If passive is what you prefer consider a NH or Tengu.

1.A full "passive" tanked raven would be ridiculous. A cap stable active tanked raven is very possible. Google "cap stable active tank raven".
A xl booster, cap boosted, rigor raven is better though.
2.Torps do more damage, require TP's(multiple), and have very short range compared to cruise. I wouldn't personally recommend them for a PVE raven.
If you're looking for a lazy man's raven, go for the cap stable active tanked variety.

It can't tank much. If he's used to flying a passive Drake, he'l die.
Even worse, if he's used to flying a passive Drake in level 3 missions, and he jumps right into level 4 missions with a perma-run active tank Raven, he'll die even harder.
