I was putting together a character creation tips web page when the server called for an emergency reboot. I am really starting to think they closed it and left for the holidays though.

Well I could live with that...if they'd at least say something!!!

The whole 'going down for unscheduled reboot' thing and then it's down for 22 hours+ with no info is driving me bonkers tho.

Triple since it now appears to be up and open for connections...if anyone could get the patch!

My perfectionist self had finally managed to get my toon's body, hair, clothing, and about half of the face looking pretty good, and was trying to work on the other half when it dropped. It takes me literally HOURS to do a char creation this detailed because of that perfectionist tendency...and I've been trying to get some pre-patch practice in since the middle of november... :(

They can do what they want for it. Sisi is there for THEIR usage, not ours. If they want to take it down for a week they can without informing us, as it's there JUST so they can test out new things. If it's down, then they need it to be down - we have no right in asking for it to be up.

True, true, but when they ask US to use the test server to aide THEM in uncovering bugs ect, it would be considerate of them to at least notify us of when we are able to access the server to better serve them. They find it in their hearts during patch days to update us when there are delays, I don't think asking for a status update is unreasonable.

The purpose of the test server is for dev and players to test out new features as well as give feedback on new features. CCP off-lining Sisi for a week and not telling anyone would be like all of EVE deciding not to use it for a week and not telling CCP. Each case would only hurt both sides in the long run.

I ran the SisiLauncher.exe file (yesterday I believe) to update the client. I downloaded an update that was a few GB, and the client updated. Immediately following this I attempted to log onto Sisi but it didn't let me. Now when I try and run SiSi I get an Incompatible (Build) message and can not log on (It says Version 6.40.214773 in the corner). Running the launcher and clicking the "Fix Singularity Client" button downloads the index, then begins to Checksum the client (0/7.31GB) but doesn't start. Then the window closes after 2-3 seconds.

If I'm doing anything wrong, please let me know, I'm pretty new to this test server business. Thanks in advance.

At least You are having the "incompatible build". All I get is black screen, after downlading almost 2GB of data.
