Hi,
I am a Caldari pilot with strong missile and sheild skills and have just recently purchased a Tengu, which I am really starting to enjoy, HOWEVER, my experiences have shown that only around 10% of my missions feature ships that are weak against Kinetic damage.
This is NOT an issue in my missions as I still take things down fast, however I was wondering if it was worth me swapping factions in order to target specific Kinetic weak ships.
I am currently flying for the Caldari Navy.
So... my questions are:
1. Should I swap to take advantage of the ships nice bonuses 2. If the above answer is yes, then who should I fly for 3. If I do swap, does the faction in question have good LP items that I can sell?

Edited by: Xercodo on 26/12/2010 23:27:57 Caldari navy deal mostly with guristas, the most kinetic-weak pirate faction....so no your already at your best spot
simply swap missiles for dmg type with other pirate factions.
Do some experimentation to see where the kinetic boost is worth it or not on pirates that aren't weak to it.

If you are getting only around 10% missions that are kin weak from a caldari agent you are just getting very unlucky. Caldari combat corps probably have the worst lp stores in eve. Other caldari corps have some pretty good conversion rates.
Also keep using those scourge missles for all factions except for drones Sasha and Blood switch to em for those.

Thank you very much for the replies.
One thing I had been giving lots of thought too is to run missions for the Pirates.....
Do these pay well? Isk and LP?
Also.... may I ask what you mean by LP conversion? and when you say that the Caldari Navy have one of the worse LP stores, do you mean that in relation to what I can purchase with it?
I'll keep on at the Guritas for a while now. I may have been basing my comments on a lack of knowledge. When I say that the Kinetic weak missions are rare, what I actualy meant was that having Kinetic listed as aspecific weakness in the mission details (EvE-Survival) was rare. Is that what you also meant by saying I was unlucky?

Eve Survival is very accurate in regards to what damage you should be dealing / tanking. Anything serpentis/gurista is always weakest to kinetic (some minor exception you shouldn't worry about). But most others have kinetic as their 2nd lowest so you're still okay. A Caldari agent in Caldari space should be spamming Guristas missions at you. You haven't run a lot of missions overall, have you?
Basically, if it doesn't say to deal EM then you're still doing pretty close to your maximum damage. If it does, you should switch to EM missiles because EM-weak NPCs are always tanked hard against kinetic.
Oh yeah, about my sig... you have now read it.

I have a standing with this particular agent of 8.9, so I have run a few with him. That said, they have been sporadic, as I have been PvP'ing in the meantime.
I just want to 'liven' things up a little, I guess like most people. I don't have time to run missions all day and need to get the most out of what I do now, so that I can build up my ISK reserves.
