Used to be in the same style as our forum, so I had to strip a large part of the graphics so I could legally release it (including an external forum-style including pictures without license is a nono).
I hate to break it to you Flios but your version of mining buddy is all busted up and broken. you have a CSS File that doesnt work unless you include the files and heck I dont even see it being referenced at all in the code, note I haven't finished going through all the code but most of it. Then you have a JS Directory that is for Javascript that also is not referenced anywhere in the code. All I can see is if someone was to use this IT might work but alot of the issues that 6.1 had are still in it.
Also are you supporting this code for anyone who trys to use it or just giving them it and hope they can figure out what needs to be fixed or added?

Originally by: Flios Bror I plan to support the code. As said, my code doesn't have (good) graphics, but in principle it does work. I'd like to work with someone to make a decent default theme, preferably something which integrates nicely with a standard forum-setup.
Your code doesn't work when installing it on a new site/install. It fails to create a super admin account. on top of that the site is been hacked up to fit within a forum, This is what you where talking about wanting to get someone to help you out with this.
If users cant get the code to work from the start no one is going to use it. Just a little heads up on that if you want I can give you a link to check it out if you dont believe me.

I'm glad someone is trying to get MB to work, maybe a version that will actually work will be released. So far, i haven't been able to get the old one to work(granted, my php skills suck & whatnot), but if someone actually gets a working version i would gladly support it.
And let's face it MB.us hosting is not a great option. If that guy has the skills to make it work & stuff at least make some improvements(not going to make a list cuz that's not why i posted here).
Bottom line is: if someone(in this case maybe Devilen) releases a working MB, that would be awesome. freaking awesome :)
I am planning on making a release but here is the catch I can not release the one that is used at MB.us. Now I can see about making a community version which is not a problem as I been working on fixing issues in it getting away from PEAR and other things. The Main problem is people need to submit trouble tickets on my bug page. I will be later today, about 3 hours from now, be opening up a forum on my MB site to get help. MB.us is getting version 8.3 later today possible tomorrow and within 24 hours I am going to be releasing verison 6.2 or 8.1 (I dont know what to label the community version) I am thinking of even going past this and changing the version schema all together to point its another dev working on it.
Then also I got a whole other Mining Manager project going and all this is been going for free all I ask is make some trouble tickets so I can keep track of what all the users want to get out of mining buddy and even my new project.
Feel free to hit me up ingame and the site of mine http://miningbuddy.whistle-britches.com will soon have other ways to get ahold of me as I dont have much time to play the game other than skill changes but yeah I take donations of all kinds if you feel so inclined.

Originally by: Flios Bror Edited by: Flios Bror on 10/01/2011 22:17:08 Not a flawless start. The documentation needs an update *cough*, besides me reading the supplied docs.
- Make sure peardb is installed. ( aptitude install php-pear; pear install DB ) - Make sure php knows curl ( aptitude install php5-curl; /etc/init.d/apache2 restart ) - Make sure the image-cache dir is writable: chmod -R 777 /path/to/mb-dir/images/cache ) - Besides mysql-tables.txt, import also the other database-files: mysql -u mbuser -p mbdatabase < mysql-corp-tables.txt Same with mysql-blackrise.sql, mysql-update-14-15.txt, mysql-update-15-16.sql, mysql-update-16-17.sql, mysql-update-17-18.sql, but not mysql-update-13-14.txt
After all this I have a bad looking but working MB-install.
All that is normal information needed when installing MB. Still get invalid email address no matter what the address is. Also the new version I am releasing will not need pear to be installed. Also why give someone a bad looking Mining buddy is not a good thing it might actually turn people off from using it.
