Ive lost a couple of ships this fortnight which is always unpleasant. However 2 of these losses have resulted in pod loss mails I do not deserve.
Just 2 hours ago I was podded in a system I was not even in. This particular loss mail was generated for a system I did legitimately lose a ship in today, 11 hours earlier, and was podded. My ship was bombed to all hell and I didn't even get to see the pod before appearing in station, oddly enough with a fully upgraded clone. I did get a mail for a pod loss though. I am wondering whether or not this is worth petitioning because a similar but slightly different glitch occured earlier in the week.
I lost a drake to another bomber fleet jumping into a system. When it popped 2 pods were ejected, 1 i was in, the other i was not. I got out in my pod with my implants to safety but i still received a mail for the empty pod that dropped. I petitioned this loss and was told that "we do not have the capability to remove or alter kill reports in any way."
This seems like a pretty rude result. Ultimately its just a pod loss and it doesn't mean a whole lot and i feel like I should just forget about it and move on. But i feel like i shouldn't have to. So does anyone have any advice on what i should do here? Should i elevate the first petition? Should i start another one and hope for a better result regarding the second loss? Does CCP really not have the capability to modify or alter its own databases?

This is due to the fact that CCP doesn't own/control the killboards and has no way to do anything with them...to the best of my understanding. Just forget about it and move on is the best advice I can give you.
Im not so much worried about killboards im wondering why on CCP's end they cant remove it from my loss records. Which i suppose ties in with the ability for kill mails to be api verified.

Originally by: Tres Farmer Some days ago I did see an empty pod at a gate.. maybe someone else did shoot some at another place after the server had a hiccup. I mean, when your drake does lay 2 eggs at the same time.. maybe she's got it from your bomber? Might check your other ships for laying more than one egg at a time.
With the amount of bombs going off in the area nothing would have survived 6 hours without getting popped unless it had been dropped and invulnerable. Which also shouldn't happen.

Well I suppose ill just keep my free clone upgrade then. Although it probably breaks some part of the EULA or whatnot. Id report my free stuffs but ccp probably doesn't have the capability to fix that part of the database anyway.
