Ok, Totally new approach here....wanted to get into blasters. SO, I bought 4 Modal Neutron Blasters. AS you can imagine I have having a tough time with engineering 4, I'll be upgrading that as soon as I finish Medium turret 4.
So, here is what I have and I know it sucks, my corp has given me a ton of suggestions and I just want a few more.
Hi Slots 4xModal Neutron 1 Vacant
Mid Slots Barton Capacitor Recharger 2xVacant
Low Slots 2xRCU1 1xEnergetic Adaptive Nano 1xSmall Repair
I have .5 grid left :)
Using 8 drones, 5xheavy, 2xmedium, 1xlight.
Whatcha think? Should I drop down 1 Modal? Depending on Ammo, my optimal is 2k to 5km, 7km to 10km optimal + fall off.
Thanks.

For NPC hunting i'd suggest:
4x dual 150's
1x 10ab 2x Cap rechargers (or drop the ab for another recharger)
1x med rep 2x hardeners 1x cap relay -The mind is strong and the flesh is weak, but oh the flesh... |

Well, I'm transporting a lot of highend minerals through 0.0. Luckily the Vexor has enough cargospace to fit ~40k of highends (~140-150mil) so I don't need a regular hauler. I've setup my ship as a blockade runner, and it works well
2x 150mm t2 rails with antimatter, 3x med knave NOS 10mn MWD, 2x Med Clarity Ward shield boosters 1x nanofibre, 3x wcs
Drones: heavy/med (mostly to scare away scrambling ceptors)
This setup should kill/scare away most frigs/ceptors which might scramble you and the wcs allow you to warp away unless you get blobbed. NOS ftw :)

3 150 IIs, 2 med nos mwd, web, 20km. 1600 plate, small rep, 2 RCUs (I think... maybe 1 and 1 PDU). 15 med drones.
Uber armor, lots of drones, a little damage, and some nossing.

High: 4x150mm T2 guns loaded with Iridumn, 1xMedium NOS Mid: Named Cap Recharger, T2 AB, can't remember the other mid slot. Low: 800mm plate, Nano Membrame, Cap Relay, Medium Rep ===================================================

I like something along the lines of:
3x 150mm IIs 2x Med nos
1x 10mn AB II 1x Web 1x 20k Scram
1x Med Rep II 3x Hardener
Warriors.
Great for solo killing overly*****y assault frigs or intys. |

Anyways, I was toying with the idea of a Vexor geared to kill frigates and elite frigs. I shall refrain from using expensive t2 or named gear as this vessel is meant to be disposable frigate killing machine.
3x Medium Nosferatu I 2x Small Nosferatu(Replace with named or t2 small rails perhaps?)
OR
4x 150mm T2 or named small rails 1x Medium Nosferatu
10mn MWD, 20km disruptor, scrambler
2x T2 Small armor repairer, 2x Energized Adaptive Membrane 2(If using first highslot loadout)
If using second highslot layout
1x medium t2 armor repairer, 3x active hardeners
It's a 4 million isk ship with 2 million isk worth of gear, I'm cheap.

K, this is my gank fleet support vexor.......it is in no way a solo setup, though with a wee bit of tinkering it can be turned into an acceptable solo ship.
drooooooones, 15 medium ones
Hi 1 x small nos 4 x med T1electron blaster (havent checked to see if T2 fit)
med 1 x 10mn mwd 1 x tracking disruptor 1 x sensor dampener
low 1 x t2 small rep 1 x 800mm plate 1 x 400mm nano plate 1 x nanofiber
ya ya i know, 2 plates and a nanofiber are stupid, but the powergrid reqs with this plate setup arent as intensive as a 1600, and I prefer fitting cruiser sized weapons to cruisers rather than frig guns and playing the 1600mm I win game.
For solo you can take off the 400mm and the nanofiber and fit a t2 dmg mod and a hardener/cap relay/2nd t2 dmg mod.

Only just got mine a few days ago, my setup is:
High: 4 x 150 II (AM), 1 Med Knave NOS, Med: 10mn MWD, Target Painter, Cap Recharger Low: Med Armour Rep II, Kin & Therm Hards, 800mm Plate
Havent really used it much, my drone skills arent too good at the mo, only have 8 med's with it Really like it thought, maybe prefer it to the Rax.

sadly this is the truth. the thorax will outdps a vexor, can tank better due to fittings, etc.
I love my vexor, its a beautiful ship - but I cannot for the life of me fit it. My odd setup involed a few med nosferatus and packed vexor with med drones... like a really weak vamp-dominix.
I got eaten by a cruiser :(
/me wishes vexor had a bit more PG so could fit the 800mm plating comfortably

Edited by: Tadis on 08/10/2005 14:39:21 Edited by: Tadis on 08/10/2005 14:38:15 PvP: Treat it like a Ishtar. This set-up is negating 1600mm as post patch they'll gimp it.
High: 2 x 150mm II (can swap for light neutron blaster II if desired) 3 x small Nosferatu II (30 cap every 3 seconds ^^)
Mid slots: 1 x 10mn AB II (swap for 10mn MWD II if good cap skills) 1 x 7.5 scrambler (every horse and his dog has 1 stab for 20k disruptors nowadays) 1 x X5 web (or better)
Low: 1 x medium armour rep II 2 x adaptive nano membrane II 1 x 800mm tungsten plate
Drones: Always go with a mix. Mostly medium, but put a few lights in there, for pest control.
Tactic is simple, orbit as close as possible.

Here's my "I'm poor" setup with low skills - rat hunting
HI 4x 150 rails with anti-matter, 1 small NOS (this is absolutely useless and will soon be replaced)
MED 10MN AB, Small SB, Web
LOW Med Armor Rep, WCS, Mag Stab, (and something else I can't remember plating probably)
Dones: Hammerheads and as many as I have skills for.
I use the small shield booster after the fight is over for the most part. Since I'm rat hunting the quicker things get back to normal the faster I can warp to the next asteroid field.

Even though I have an Ishtar now, I still like my Vexor. Here's my current setup: High: 4 x Dual 150 Scout, Small knave NOS
Med: AB II, webber, med electrochemical booster (200s)
Lo: Med repper II, 400 tungsten, Energised nano adaptive, rcu/pdu
Drones: 15 medium (drone interfacing lvl 5 is NICE ) I can recommend it to all drone lovers.

Med: Webber, Scrambler, 10mn AB II
Low: (x2) Small Armor Rep II (x1) mag stab II (x1) forgot what i put here.. think it was a PDU but with the new grid improvements wont need it
