WHO ARE WE? The Cerulean Eagles has roots as a noob-friendly industrial corporation. Having recently moved to null-sec, we have restructured our corporation to have both a wider scope, as well as a larger pilot base. As such, in addition to fledgling industrial pilots, we are also looking for PvP-centric pilots to help us solidify our combat branch.
We are a part of Li3 Federation, an up-and-coming alliance that will soon have sov space. Any new pilots at any of our corporations are joining at an exciting time and are helping to write our history. You will be joining an alliance dedicated towards building a tight-knit and social community. We do not bash our members for making mistakes, and we are there to hold your hand when necessary. (We're also ready to throw you off the cliff if it's a legitimately good learning experience.)
WHO ARE YOU? You might be a noob or semi-experienced pilot, wanting to learn about null-sec, eager to reap its profits, and able to balance self with service. You are able to work in a team, play in a team and, in general, have a positive and mature attitude.
You might also be an experienced pilot, wanting to teach noobs about various aspects of the game. You do not look down on noobs, see them as your treasured pupils, and feel immense satisfaction in helping a them get on their first-kill mail or produce their first Tech II Module.
Basic Requirements:
- At least 1 month old
- Willing to ask for help
- Willing to participate
- Able to be on TS3/Mumble when in-game
- Full API required (For your own sake, please remember to set an expiration date)
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
- Alliance TS3
- Coalition Comms + Jabber
- Alliance Capital Support
- Ship Replacement Program (currently limited, but in development)
- A Learning Environment
- A "RL Comes First" Attitude
- Operating Out of Querious
- Regular Mining Ops
- Massive PvP Fleet Ops
- No CTA's (In the 'approximate' words of our alliance leader, "it's a game. If we lose some Sov because we don't call CTA's, so be it.)
HOW TO JOIN Please submit an in-game application and have a Full API ready for an interview. If you don't know how to set up a full API, our corp officers can help you. Your application should include a friendly greeting, how you heard about us, and perhaps what you can offer the corp/alliance or what your primary interests are. Feel free to contact one of our officers if you have any questions!

Hi! Thanks for your interest.
While the corp itself is primarily Euro and US, a large percentage of Li3 Federation is based in Australia. As such, our corp has modified its recruitment policies and we will be looking to continue recruitment until we have a good balance in terms of TZ distribution (US West, US East, Euro, Australia) both for alliance strategic purposes, as well as internal corp diversity.
To answer the question you didn't ask, there will always be a good number of people online, alliance or corp. The corp itself is also on a massive recruitment drive to help meet alliance goals, so we expect our member base to balloon in the coming weeks.
If you have any more questions, feel free to post here or contact one of our officers in-game. And don't be afraid to ask difficult questions; null-sec might not interest everybody and you deserve an honest assessment of what you can expect. |

Still recruiting! And unlike many corps, we are not expanding in order to stroke the egos of the corp leadership. This is a goal-oriented recruitment drive; it is very necessary. We are not looking for pawns to move around the chess board; we're looking for intelligent and talented individuals who aren't afraid to propose ideas that can benefit the corp/alliance, and are willing to share them. |

I played many years ago solid in High Sec... then spent time hopping on/off dicking around. Long story short, I'm wanting to get back, and would like to move to low-null sec for the first time. I really want to see some more of what the game has to offer and want a corp thats willing to help teach me the ins/outs of nullsec and PVP (as, like I said, I was all PVE when i played hardcore).
60mil SP, and been building for supporting some hardcore mining, since I know I've got some learning curve and wont be able to jump straight into PVP or daily 'on my own' in null sec.
I'm online now if anyone wants to chat... |

Outstanding! One of our officers will be in contact with you very soon. If you don't hear anything by Monday, let me know and I'll arrange something for you. Quite a few officers are currently on vacation, so we are momentarily understaffed, but you should hear something before the end of the weekend. |

During peacetime, both the corp and the alliance runs regular mining, exploration, and ratting ops, amongst other things. Since we are at war, we do not engage in these activities with quite the same frequency, but we understand the need for our pilots to make isk to continue funding the war effort, so we try our best to organize some of these activities during the downtime between wartime operations. So the short answer is that we have decent isk-making opportunities right now, but the rewards will amplify themselves once we have some measure of stability. In either case, you should be able to fund your PvP habit sufficiently.
Additionally, the alliance has a limited Ship Replacement Program for pilots losing a doctrine ship during fleet operations. The corp itself also has a war donations chest which we use to help offset the cost of purchasing ships not covered by the alliance program; we don't cover the full price, but we do help lower the cost of acquiring new ships and modules.
Also, we've got blobs and small gangs, and sometimes one turns into another, so there's plenty of variety in terms of PvP. |

A friend and I are looking for the following:
-Very active members and leadership -Piracy / Gang Roams with potential for ransoms -A safe place/home to fly around in null or lowsec (ratting, etc) so we don't have to risk our ships if we don't want to -Friendly and laid back members who are willing to help those who are new to pvp -Competent players (Don't want to join to just learn from other noobs)
Can your corp offer these for us? |

First of all, I'd like to thank you for your questions! Many others here may have the same concerns, and this gives me a great opportunity to address them!
- The corp itself is transitioning to an activity-through-numbers model to offset our casual player base. Our players have very diverse backgrounds, so RL is often an issue. As such, I can only claim that our members are as active as their time allows. However, our alliance is extremely active, and our corp is well-integrated so there is always someone with whom to fly. - We're technically NBSI; I'm not sure how piracy falls into that framework. However, our alliance does run small gangs, but these are objective-oriented and therefore, not a "roam" as you might understand it. We are primarily engaged in sovereign warfare right now, so ransoms are unlikely. We kill what we see, no questions asked. - Unfortunately, being on the frontlines precludes having a "safe home". Even when the conflict subsides, in sovereign border regions (where we are based) safety is a relative concept. - Yes, we are all generally friendly and laid-back, both within the corp and within the alliance. - We are looking to recruit more experienced players to assist our fledglings (and may already have one in our recruitment pipeline). The alliance also has battle-hardened vets willing to impart their wisdom to younger pilots.
My first instinct is to say that there might be better options for you, and I imagine you likely agree. However, if you're interested regardless, we're always happy to accept new members. Do take the time to consider more options though, in any case. |

Skillpoints are a distant 2nd to a positive attitude and aptitude for learning. As for wh ops, we do have members interested in them. If our members want to work towards wh ops, they have the full support of the corp in formalizing it. We appreciate initiative.
We like to think that the corp doesn't really do anything. Instead, we prefer to enable our members to determine the activities which our corp engages in. [The practicalities of null aside, we do our best to adhere to this attitude]
Note, though, that, as mentioned, we are currently pretty heavily involved in strategically-significant combat ops, so our normal activities are disrupted by the reality of our situation. However, we do consider our current combat efforts to be a sort of payment towards getting our own sovereign space. Just putting that out there for your consideration, if it matters to you.
Feel free to ask more questions, or if you feel we are a good fit for you, go ahead and apply! |
