Which to use as a blockade runner in 0.2 - 0.5 space?
Ive amassed quite a few bits and pieces scattered all over eve in low sec systems and i want to go collect them. I'm a carebear type so I'm looking for totally defensive setups even if it means leaving empty high slots. I'd like some advice on which ship to use and loadout for it.
I've previously (pre exodus)used a kessie fitted with 2 warp stabs and mwd purely for speed. Got thro on about 50% occasions. Interceptor + cruise could still beat it.
I'm considering whether a suitably fitted BB would do the job better. Both carry about the same cargo. Base speeds are comparable (acceleration is a different matter) but the BB could be fitted with EW / shield hardners and should be able to take more damage before jumping (better than poor kessie that died so fast)
I guess what I want is a setup that can run for gate, not get webbed (or locked) and survive long enough to jump. How to do this is beyond my ken. I'm an empire trade/scientist not combat experienced. I'd prefer to use Caldari ships but will listen to good reasons why I should use other. (ie skills not a problem)

BB's warp very poorly, as do kessies's actually, if you truly want to make it out i'd get something faster, or that helios of yours ;)
All i want for cristmas is a typhoon with launcher rof bonus :) |

Grab yourself a Probe. Quicker than a Kestral, faster to warp, and a much large cargo capacity. Fabulous little ship.

I too recommend a probe. Great cargo hold. Light (compared to other race frigs). Cheap.
