So I now live in Blood Raider space, and I want to do some exploration....
I would like to fit a Legion for this, or paladin. I have perfect legion skills [all v's including all gunnery v's etc] and my maurder is lvl 4..
for Legion this is what I was thinking
http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/25568-Legion-Legion-C3-Sleepers.html
[Legion, Legion - Legion C3 Sleepers] True Sansha Heat Sink True Sansha Heat Sink Dark Blood Armor EM Hardener Dark Blood Armor Thermic Hardener Dark Blood Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Dark Blood Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Centum A-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Large Capacitor Battery II Republic Fleet 10MN Afterburner Federation Navy Stasis Webifier
Heavy Pulse Laser II Heavy Pulse Laser II Heavy Pulse Laser II Heavy Pulse Laser II Heavy Pulse Laser II Sisters Expanded Probe Launcherv [SWITCHING THIS FOR A SMALL FACTOR NOS]
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Nanobot Accelerator I
Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers Legion Engineering - Capacitor Regeneration Matrix
I switched the probe [since i have a probing alt] to a SMALL FACTOR NOS so that if any frigs get close to neut, then I can nos them for more cap stabilty [50% with everything on].
Do you think this is viable vs blood raiders? My main concern is the NEUTING... i am 40% stable without the NOS. and i can pewpew from 35km with scorch, and the tank is 745 ehp/s
Give me some advice please, thanks! |

bloodrider exploration with a pulse legion is very tricky. Bloodrider ewar is the perfect counter against this ship. TD is not as strong as from sansha but strong enough to cause problems hitting interceptors and stuff. Neuts give you the rest... and outrange you in most cases
So.. its not the best ship in this area of space.

i done plexes and anonomlies in blood raider space 2 years ago. so if nothing changes: nightmare with afterburner is what you are looking for. if scorch ammo isn't a problem i would try pulse fit with 2 nosferatu. fit nightmare with 1 heavy nosferatu and beams. paladin has very weak tank with beams and you have to keep range from some ships. shield tank is much better atm. |

You need more range. Period. You'll need to be able to take down stasis towers at 50km quickly to make this work. Also, the heavy neuting is going to come from elite cruisers (up to 35km or so) and BSs (up to 30km).
Edit: I've been encouraged to try this fit:
[Legion, Legion -cloak -scan -refit for DPS] Corpum C-Type Medium Armor Repairer Armor EM Hardener II Corpum C-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Power Diagnostic System II Imperial Navy Heat Sink Imperial Navy Heat Sink
Cap Recharger II Republic Fleet 10MN Afterburner Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Script
Salvager I Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M Heavy Pulse Laser II, Scorch M
Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Auxiliary Nano Pump I Medium Anti-Thermic Pump I
Legion Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Legion Offensive - Liquid Crystal Magnifiers Legion Defensive - Nanobot Injector Legion Electronics - Emergent Locus Analyzer Legion Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst
It gives me 39+6.5, which in my mind isn't enough, though it will do alright in 6/10s. |

FWIW, if you have the skills, the loki is particularly good vs laser rats. EMP still deals more or less the correct damage and with armor the natural resists are so ridiculously high that you barely need to pulse your repper, meaning the neuts aren't as much of a problem if you get caught by them. You can tank whole plexes with nothing but a MAR II, a thermic hardener, and an AB.
Barrage also helps with the TDs. Triple rep Myrms are like what you'd get if you strapped a beehive to Robocop. |

You might want to consider an Apoc.
It has 60 km optimal with Scorch. You need this for the 6/10 complex. It can handle some neuting and stasis towers without problem.
While it's easier to catch on gates than the Legion, it can pack 5x medium ECM drones and losing it isn't that expensive because you can get by with t2 mods.
I don't know how it handles 7/10's or higher, but I suspect the Legion wouldn't do better.
Also a tip: don't use the Apoc to loot the overseer. Bookmark the wreck and come back in your probing cov ops. The complex will have despawned and you can warp directly to the wreck and safely bring the loot back home.
