I thought the only point of declaring war was so you could hurt all the Largely undefended haulage of the largest( and possibly Richest) Alliance that pumps through the highway. In addition you can gank XF newbs and empire efforts stalling recruitment efforts. Wars in Eve are about economic and social disruption. Essentially you can as a PvP corp supplied by 'mysterious' benefactors strike the weakest least defended fractions of XF.
