I wonder if Faction BS are worth the effort, you know you get a 30% better Battleship but you need a SÀ$%À&$%/&%/ of LP, won`t be Elite BS much better?

i think so. first off, yeah they might cost LP and some other wired crap..but you are getting paied to get the ship essentially.
oh and if anyone has a sanshas nightmare offer we need to talk..

Yes you`re paid for it.. but.. what`s the point in having such a ship that can`t be replaced? nobody will risk it in combat... just a shiny toy.

Theyre more toys then combat ships really.
Even with better stats then the normal bs youll still be the number 1 target in every fight.
Theyre cool looking collectors items

Depends on your definition of worth it, but to use it as a pvp or even regular .0 npc ship doubtfull... But hej collector items are neat  .

If I had a faction ship, I'd use it in combat, where it gives you an advantage.
Sure, you run the risk of losing it, but it's only isk/LP/pride.
All are replacable.
What's the other option? Mine in it? Fly it around empire so people can convo you to ooh and awe?

Surely the fact that the gold magnate and the other unique ships etc have all been destroyed in combat (I'm not sure which still remain, Isn't theyre still an imperial apoc arnd ??) proves that people 'WILL' use them in combat...
Provided the pilot has the balls to use it

I'm of the mind that there is a FedaThron out there which has yet to be downed, and I believe H Erectus has a Silver Magnate.
They are still ou there I'm sure

...let's use the case of the megathron:
standart megathron has 15500 base grid, 8/4/7 slot config.
navy megathon has same grid, cpu, but a 8/4/8 slot config, better armor/struct/shield. the bonus to the 2 ships are the same (tracking + dmg per BS skill lvl)
Vindicator (gotta luv the ship tbh...) has more shield/struct/armour than the standart, but less than the navy, same slot config/grid of the standart, BUT (here comes the best part), it has a built-in 25% dmg bonus, 5% tracking bonus per gallente BS skil level AND that lovely bonus of -10% cap penalty of mwd per minmatar BS skill level...
....tbh vindicator is deadly in a blasterthron config....
worth the effort? hell yeah. 8 lows in a thron is nice. cap penalty bonus of the mwd is even nicer.
still tbh... I would take the nightmare anytime

how about the navy raven then? more PG and CPU, and can fit an extra siege.. The ship would own most others with decent mods fitted on it.
Be the first to go down in a fleet battle but make an excellent agent running ship.

I'd much rather get the Rattlesnake (Guristas) then -- same slot setup as a standard Raven + 1 low slot (so 8/6/6). And great bonuses. And it's a Scorpion, which is a lot more handsome than the Raven.

The whole point is that your ships is not like the 300,000 other ships out there, it's unique. The Imperial Apocs were used in comabt, I don't see why the other faction ships won't be. Sure elite ships will be better but they are totally different animals.
