For a while it let you do that and now we get the erroneous "Cant put a planck generator inside a planck generator error".
As station containers and station warehouses dont actually have planck generators it is definately an error (Planck generators make the inside bigger than the outside the station cans have the same cargo size as the volume size and so arent using the generators).
Could the devs PLEEEEEEEEASE let us put station container cans inside station warehouses cans. It allows us to partition the various items a LOT better. For example the Weapons can has Ammo cans, Weapons (blasters), Weapons (Railguns) etc. It makes it easier to find the item you want that way.
Oh yeah and can you make the default dropped in item not locked please. It's a real pain to say the least. Either that or allow us to select all in the can (both locked and unlocked) and be able to select unlock even if some are already unlocked.

Agreed, it's a pain trying to organise everything. And it's annoying having to "select all->unlock item" too.
I don't see what the big deal is about not letting us nest warehouses & station containers tbh - it's not like we can haul them somewhere else . All I can think is that it makes the DB unstable/hogs bandwidth/causes lag or something. If that's the case, I can live with things the way they are.

oh yeah, a unlock all option would make things a lot easier. So would nesting station containers btw. I looks like the station container would be able to fit inside a titan. Is that an indication that there will be ships in the future that can haul the station containers?

to Unlocka press ctrl + A then right click on mouse UNLOCK will unlock all items but yea I still hate auto lock tough

If there are any unlocked items in the selection, the unlock command doesn't show in the context menu.

and while you're at it make so we can RECYCLE the dam things so they can be of some value to players that don't want to use them and have received them in stations that has no demand for them. |

Being able to configure station cans to eith lock on entry of an item, or not lock would make them a lot more user friendly.
Starsi dont make Eve Pilots, but if they did, i wouldnt be one of them. |

I belive that I read somewher that you can't have a can in a can because it kills the server when you open them
that's why they make these Plank cans to stop people.

I'm pretty sure what you are suggesting would involve some kind of "tree" structure in the database and these are notoriously difficult to implement efficiently (at least in a relational database).

It was possible for a while to put containers into station warehouses. This was a bug and was fixed with a server hotfix. The main issue is that while having containers inside containers is handy, people were "experimenting" with blackholing systems by exploiting a bug in this. ------ Valar Quality assurance department CCP games |

Edited by: Pentara on 01/02/2005 21:00:01 So fix the bug, don't allow station cans inside station cans and please return this ability. Even if you have to limit the nesting level to 1 (cant have cans inside cans inside a can) it would still be very beneficial.
Removing such a NEEDED feature doesn't make sense. It's like saying, no one can drive cars because a few people get into accidents.

Edited by: NocturnalWR on 01/02/2005 22:53:54 The items being locked when you throw them into a station can is definately more than annoying, especially if your using station cans for your Own hangar and not a corp hangar. Please make a (Config Can Items are Unlocked/Locked) feature.
