I recently moved into a c4 WH and have little to no idea how much DPS we need to tank (heard somewhere it was about 1200dps) at the minute we have 2 loki's and a tengu, the 2 loki's tank about 1000 DPS each and the tengu tanks nearly 1200 DPS but the 2 loki's have RR, any clarification of how much DPS we need to tank would be brilliant as we can modify our fits to tank more (or spider tank) if we get the amount we need to tank.

1200 tank is too low. The reality of it is that each site varies in requirements. The hardest of the sites (radar and mag) have 4 BS's as the last wave of escalation. Each BS puts out slightly varied damage, but in total they combine to roughly just above 2k. Keep in mind when designing the tanks that spike damage can be an issue, speed tanking is ineffective (webbed to hell), and coming soon energy neut will also be a consideration. Contact me in game on Goodluvins if you want any specific info. |

We also recently moved into a class 4 worm hole, but we have 3 battle ships. I don't know the specific tanking capabilities but I will ask them how much they can.
We will have a Scorp ECMing as much as possible, and we will all be rr each other. We haven't tried anything yet, but I was wondering if you guys think its possible?

Drones hate ECM, so that scorp better be tanked to hell and back.

It's got as much tank as it can possibly have, and it's going to have 4 RRs on it as well.

Im a little rusty (been out of the game for about 6 months) but before I left I could tank the hardest C4 sites with:
Tengu (faction fitted) Sleipnir (faction fitted) Scimitar (faction fitted)
Each has shield RR. As someone pointed out above, the spikes can make you sweat a bit at certain points. I think the total you need to be able to tank is around 2200 DPS.
The Scimitar is the weakest point in the chain, but it can take the damage. Usually the BS's will rotate targets to find the weakest link, and then proceed to pound onit. With the Large shield remote reps going on the scimitar, and the Scimitar orbiting as fast as it can (has a smaller sig radius) it does work. Havent lost a ship yet.
With the Nuet changes however, I dont think it will work anymore. It would most likely take 4 ships (2X baslisk, 2Xdps or 2x Guardian 2xDPS).

We've had success just using T1 BS fleets w/ Scorpion support with 2 Guardians. However, we're also wondering how great the impact once the Nos / Neut capabilities kick in....
As mentioned above, the "spike" damage has to be managed carefully. We'll be watching closely to see if Sleepers start coordinating "spikes" with Nos / Neut -- especially on the Guardians. We may add a third Guardian.
Good Hunting!

The most effective tank from my experience of running sites in a class 5 is to not allow the sleepers to hit you. If they are jammed out they do no damage but of course only works if you run a sizeable fleet.
We had a minimum of 3-4 scorpions which could permanent jam the sleepers with drones taking care of the frigates & missile boats killing the cruisers.
If you miss a jam cycle you might be in trouble but in my experience with good skills & able pilots this happened not that often. We made sure that each scorpion would jam multiple targets thus decreasing the likelihood of any of scorpions being a primary target through missed cycles.
